this place was a surprise!! small but well done. lots of well keep animals, including a lion named Levi, a bengal tiger, a white tiger, a sloth, some timber wolves, some llamas, some very greedy and cute goats, etc. The workers and volunteers were informative and seemed to love their work.

Very small but worth it. All the employees do a great job. It's not a full day of fun, but definitely a great 1/2 day event.

Keep in mind, this is a VERY small zoo/refuge. You can see everything in about an hour but well worth the trip. I think it's important to support local family's making a difference in our community. There is plenty of shade, new owners are obviously making improvements, animals seemed well cared for. You will get to feed the goats, deer, llamas. Turkeys & Peacocks are roaming free which I liked a lot. It was a nice little get away, easy to find and clean. Might try to go again when it's a little cooler outside and after they finish their renovations.

We took our 5 yr old daughter there for her birthday, along with her best friend and our 3.5 yr old son. All of us had a wonderful time! It's a small zoo but the animals all looked well cared for and the educational talks with the zookeeper were the highlight of my day. As adults my husband and I were amazed and awed to be so close to the tigers and lions, and I was so happy to see a sloth in real life for the first time ever.

We live 45 minutes away from the zoo, but we will be purchasing an annual family pass and making visiting there a part of our life on a regular basis.

I made it to the Grand Re-Opening of the Park and I'm so glad I did! Under new ownership, the park has made some wonderful improvements. Volunteers ready to answer questions or engage the children were around every bend. The animals all looked well-cared for, and it was obvious the staff is passionate about what they do there. The animals were very visible and accessible to the children, not like a normal zoo, and the shows were just small groups, not like the huge ones at the zoo where the kids can hardly hear what's going on and have no chance for hands-on involvement. There were great, affordable snacks offered as well. It has a very family-friendly, personable feel, and is just the right size that the little ones will be enthralled but not too exhausted. We spent about 2 hours there, and it was perfect. They even have a little mist area you can walk through if it gets too hot! My kids are 7, 5, 3, and 20 months and had a blast. We will definitely be making a return visit to this revamped, educational venue!
