The unit, #656, is a single wide mobile home with a side add on making it a double wide. It is an old trailer and almost no part of the floor is level. I'm not sure I could recommend it to anyone over 275#. The doors at the bathroom and bedroom next to it will not close due to warping by the humidity. The plys in the door are separating. The bedroom on the add on side may have been the better room but unless it had blackout curtains the heat in there is just to much. There are two couches in the living room and a 50" TV, all pluses. The kitchen-dining room are very useable. The refrigerator works fine, as does the stove. There is peeling paint, stained roof sections and various wet wood issues. All that being said you will not find a cheaper place anywhere near Key West to stay. The people in the Venture Out resort are really friendly. There's a community building, a beach swimming area for ocean swimming but over the course of the week I'd say we spent many, many hours in or at the pool. I doubt if there is a better pool anywhere nearby. This is the redeeming feature. If you have a tendency to feel uncomfortable about the quirks this may not be for you. We only used the A/C in the bedroom, the fans work fine throughout the house. There's a washer and dryer behind the unit which was a real plus. We spent a week there and after the first day I felt fine.
