We stayed here 2 nights before our flight to Aruba...Oct 27-28....beautiful 1 br suite on 5th floor.....Huge! Kitchen area, with table/desk area...Very comfortable bed in separate room...separate sink from shower area. Manager's reception Sun-Thur....Full meal served in breakfast area, chef's choice. Excellent flounder, potatoes, and peas. Plus green salad with choices of dressing and add'l toppings. Beer, red and white wine, plus lemonade....all served from 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm. What a wonderful surpise for us....didn't realize it at time of booking....Nice quiet area, very near airport and cruise port.....free shuttle to a/p....Manager Marife was so great to work with.....her staff does an excellent job and truly enjoy their jobs and working with the customers. Left our vehicle here while gone......will definitely be staying here again...excellent value.....

We stayed at the Homewood Suites in Ft Lauderdale this spring prior for about 3 days prior and also 3 days here after our cruise on the Celebrity Equinox. We chose this hotel because we stayed in one years back in New Orleans and found that the rooms or suites were quite large and it was like staying in an apartment compared to smaller size hotels. This place was reasonalbe rate, included breakfast buffet and close to the port for cruise ships and the airport. It had a nice pool too - but we did not use it. It was nice my aunt and uncle were able to spend time with us and were able to drive us around and sightsee as well. Otherwise there wasn't too much to shop or walk to in the area. The one great thing of this hotel was a great place for seafood called the Rustic Inn Crab Joint. We were able to walk to this place since I read reviews on it and wanted to try it. We enjoyed it so much, we ate here prior to our cruise and later with our relatives again afterwards. The hotel room was large, roomy and we had a big king size bed. I love the fact that we had a small kitchen where we could make popcorn at night and a regular fridge to store drinks or snacks. The staff were very friendly and treated us quite well and always had a smile for us. We're not fussy breakfast diners, so having a breakfast with our stay was great and nice to eat before we were off to explore and start our day. The little shop by the front desk was handy - especially the one night we craved ice cream and bought some drinks and a small pint of chunky monkey Ben and Jerry's for late night treat.

I have stayed twice about a year apart. First time for a week and second time for three nights. As long as the location works for you everything else is outstanding for the price

Stayed one Saturday night recently prior to a 7 day cruise. Minutes from the airport, 10 minutes or so from the cruise port. Chose the Homewood Suites due to our previous exceptional experience at one in PA. The usual ability to select your room a day or so in advance didn't yield the room we selected, since it wasn't cleaned yet. But were given another room, which I suppose was equal. Studio room facing the pool was nice.

Tried to enjoy some down time at the pool, which had comfortable chairs and supplied towels, but the water was rather chilly, and here is where I first noticed/heard the music. Playing on the speakers outdoors and in the hallways, was some kind of music of a foreign language. In the hallways, you could tolerate it, since it was soft enough or you overpowered it with your conversation, but at the pool, it was coming from all directions. Noting the ethnicity of the guests staying there, the music was more in line with what the staff would've selected on the weekend, while management was away. This was addressed via email with the hotel manager, as requested in the resort directory, and with the staff upon checking out. The front desk agent said it was the owners choosing. The hotel manager said it was "chosen to create an island atmosphere", although we were in south Florida. If the language was at least in English, it would've been more tolerable.

Otherwise and overall, a pleasant stay, with a comfortable room with good TV channel selection, inviting shower and free Wi-Fi. The usual free buffett was good also. Would CONSIDER returning.

Room Tip: Ask for a pool view, instead of the highway or parking lot.

I began staying at the homewood the year it opened ... never have I found a need to lie or accuse them of anything BEDBUGS!!!!!!!!!!!! THEFT!!!!!!!! Lady are you crazy???? this hotel and its staff are the very best in over 2 years of staying there i have never had a problem of any kind. I personally think that you have a mental problem that would allow you to say such things. i wish you no peace and belive that low life comments like you have made are created simply to satisfy your sickness. please stay at a Best Western or motel 8 . staying with a friend probably is not an option as i seriously doubt you have any!!!!!
