Hyatt Place Ft. Lauderdale Airport & Cruise Port

Every trip to Ft Lauderdale I typically stay at the Hyatt House Airport/Cruise Port. However, this time decided to stay at Hyatt Place, and I was not disappointed. The lobby is modern and check-in was quick and easy.
The room was very spacious with a living area separated from the bed area by a divider. The TV swivels for both. A wet bar area had a mini fridge. The room was clean, the bathroom cleaner, with a huge walk in shower.
Wi-fi worked easily and efficiently. Breakfast was a little crowded, but the food was good with their griddle breakfast.
I believe they offer shuttles to the airport and cruise port, but we had a car so did not utilize that service.
Hollywood Beach and Ft Lauderdale downtown/beach isn't far away. Plenty of restaurants and shopping in the area.
Overall a very nice stay and I am sure to stay here again in the future.

We stayed here one night pre-cruise and thought this hotel was excellent. It was very clean, and room was a nice size - had King and Sleeper Sofa. The Hotel has a very nice breakfast buffet in the morning and the location was convenient.

Just spent a week at the Hyatt Place FLL and cruise port and had a great time overall. The location is one of the best I've ever had for a hotel in this class, very quiet (ask for a room that does not face the 95) and yet close to most everything including an onramp/exit to/from the 95. What sets the hotel apart is that we could actually get a good night's sleep. There is a train track not too far away and you may know how loud train horns can be. Not a problem here, you don't notice it. We had initially booked at the Hyatt Place Delray Beach. Fortunately, a reviewer here was kind enough to mention it's close to the train tracks that run through the middle of town. Noise from the 95 was not an issue either, though in all fairness, my room was on the other side of the hotel. Noise from the hallway was noticeable but people didn't spend much time there fortunately. The only thing that could really be improved imho is the A/C situation. The unit in my room was noticeably loud though not in an irritating way. I was able to sleep through it in other words. The insulation is remarkably good so once the room is cooled off later at night the A/C doesn't seem to come on that often.

Housekeeping was OK, nothing special though. The bathroom was kind of small and lighting was limited there but not a deal breaker in any way. Breakfast was pretty much a standard continental version with several additions: scrambled eggs, bacon or sausage, waffles or french toast, fresh fruit and strawberry yogurt. Overall tasty and providing a good start for the day.

Others have already touched on the gym area and pool which are very clean. We didn't use either but they looked well maintained. I liked the idea of picking up my own food order at the bar in the evening from the 24/7 menu that they offer. Quality was very decent, portions weren't very large for the price. Beer selection at the bar seemed limited to a few standard ones plus Blue Moon, a Sam Adams Rebel IPA and something else I can't quite remember. Obviously we noticed quite a few guests who were going or coming from a cruise but there were also business people like my wife and I.

Easy access to Ft Lauderdale, Miami and the coastal area through the 1 and the 95 as well as nearby inland facilities and shopping along Stirling Rd make this a very convenient hotel location. A Marshalls, BJ's and several other stores are even as close by as right across Stirling Rd. For example, we enjoyed visits to both Hollywood Blvd and the music scene there, the Hollywood boardwalk and Ft Lauderdale by the Sea just a relatively short drive from the hotel.

Because we found the beds not completely to our liking (a bit too soft) we may try the Hyatt House across the street next time. Overall a good stay and highly recommended when you are looking to stay away from smokers as this is, fortunately, a non-smoking property.

Our hotel stay was for two nights and it was excellent! The staff was great the room was large and clean. The beds were comfy too.
The location of the hotel was wonderful. In the center of a lot of shopping and restaurants and very close to Dania Beach.
The pool is nice, the gym was nice and the breakfast was a full hot breakfast every morning.
I would definitely recommend this hotel. I used my Costco membership to get a good price on the room.

We needed to leave early for our flight so we chose this place near the airport. They had a freel shuttle to the airport too. The room was very clean and modern. The staff was fabulous. Great drinks and snacks. As well as restaurant recommendations! We loved breakfast as it started early and included hot eggs & bacon.

We stay at this Hyatt when we fly into FLL before a cruise. We've had 3 great experiences. The shuttle around town and to the cruise terminal is a bit of a hassle but the hotel is clean and works great for our needs.

The second leg of our road trip we traveled from Orlando to Ft. Lauderdale and landed at the Hyatt Place Ft. Lauderdale Airport. We stayed from Monday to Thursday. The first day I wasn't sure about the location because there wasn't much of a view. We were right next to 95 and we had a view of a defunct roller coaster, however, the location turned out to be perfect because we were able to get everywhere we wanted to go with ease. Every morning we had a continental breakfast and the room was very spacious. We had a nice king size bed and a partially separated living room area. My only con for this place is housekeeping comes to clean your room at 8am and of course we're on vacation so we were still in the bed. I suppose this is for people who are getting a on ship in the morning so if you're not getting on the ship you may have to request they come back to your room for cleaning.
