Let me start by saying that this is a beautiful house. It a perfect size for a family of 4 or maybe 5. Over the years we have rented several house in Florida since we go down ever year. . We had a good time the first few days we were there while on our Disney vacation. However, the first morning we were there, we noticed several roaches on the counter when we went to make breakfast. We understand that this is Florida in the middle of summer but this continued to be an issue while we were there. By day 3 we emailed management who didn’t respond until the next day. Mark, the property manager, told us they would send someone first thing the next day. We didn’t hear anything all day so I sent a second email to Mark saying nobody came out that day. He said he would need to confirm with pest control and eventually called to let us know that pest control would be by at some point during the day to confirm that there were roaches. We didn’t hear back until after our stay was over. We sent several pictures and asked for some sort of reimbursement since we didn’t feel comfortable cooking for our family in the kitchen. We ended up spending an additional $200 on two days of food. The food we bought on day 1 went to wate because we couldn’t cook in a kitchen like that. Honestly, I just wish it would have been handled differently. The last email we received from Mark was on 7/16 saying he would forward our pictures to pest control and get back to us. At this point it’s just really disappointing that a beautiful house like this is managed by someone like him. He never responded back with any updates and we will for sure never rent a house that he manages again especially when he said he would get confirmation from the pest control agents that there were actual roaches. We truly felt like he was calling us liars even with all the photos that we sent to him. He never sent a follow up email about the results or the reimbursement. We sent him several pictures over 3 days of the roaches roaming around the kitchen. We were disgusted not only by the kitchen that we couldn’t cook in but the way the situation was handled by Mark at Orlando villa rentals. I’ve attached only a few pictures of the 20 or more that we took over a 4 day period.
