Take a minute or take an hour, its worth your time to see and experience what Daytona and Halifax area was like in the past. An old bank building that has been made into a museum. Well done.

This is a small collection of items from the Daytona beach area. There was an interesting movie shown. Since Thursday was admission by donation, we got our money's worth. The building is a beautiful old bank with original Tiffany windows.

A sneaky opportunity for the kids to learn, this local museum is in the quaint downtown and features a to scale model of the beach before the high rises came in. LOVE it.

This building was where Florida Bank and Trust was housed. I worked there in 1963 so this visit was extremely nostalgic for me as one of the first displays was about the bank's history. All the displays are nicely done and covers a variety of topics concerning Daytona & Volusia County.

This museum is located in the former premises of a bank which opened a few years before WW1.
The visit starts with a 25 minutes video (SD format, shown on an old big CRT screen). Interesting video, focused on North-Eastern Florida history throughout ages. Beware that kids may find it tedious.
The exhibits encompass some artifacts from Timucuan Indians and Spanish first settlers.
For the rest, it is mainly memorabilia, or a toy collection (with limited interest) upstairs.

Overall, not worth a detour, but good for a 1 hr visit if in the area
