“Enjoyable Stay”
Reviewed 6 July 2013

We loved Nautilus Inn! We rented an ocean front room for 4 nights and we were not disappointed. It was very clean and the staff is superb. LesLee at the front desk was very nice and helpful. It was in a great location, about 2 miles from the boardwalk. The price is very reasonable. They have a continental breakfast every morning and that saved our family a ton of money as well. I would highly recommend it. We had a family of 4 so I wish they had queen size beds as full were a little small for sleeping, but other than that everything was great.

We are thrilled to have received such a high recommendation from you.Thank you as this is what we aim to do always. We often get comments on how convenient our location is to the boardwalk and pier. Free breakfast is a plus especially for families and glad to hear you made good use of the full kitchen in your room. We do have plans to make some great changes to our rooms including the addition of queen beds. Hope to have you back again real soon.

The hotel has a great location on the beach. The hotel is very clean. Our room was perfect, and we loved that we had a fully furnished kitchen area! The staff are extremely friendly. They made us feel so welcomed! ...almost like we had been friends forever! There were scheduled activites for everyone. Let's not forget the great Happy Hour, and the beautiful ocean view! Our family had a wonderful vacation, and we would DEFINITELY stay here again!

I admit that I've been spoiled by business travel to major U.S. cities. I stayed at over 30 hotels last year. So I was skeptical at the price - ocean front for under $200 concerned me.

What I liked: service, clean, location, pool area, manager reception, and bed (I prefer firm bed), and kitchen in room.

Not so nice: room had damp feel to it - could be that's it's the ocean, AC not good enough to remove humidity or maybe windows, which I heard they are replacing. But no mold in room. Also, no shampoo provided so bring your own. Some say hotels are cutting back on providing shampoo but this was a first for me.

So, overall it was very good. It's not a Ritz but I would stay there again.

This is by far the best vacation my family has had in a long while. the hotel is immaculate the staff can't do enough for you and greet you like long time friends..........the amenities are all you need when you have the beach and ocean right outside the back door!....very clean pool , deck and hot tub too;-)
Price was great with a continental breakfast included every morning, including fresh fruit and skimmed milk for those wishing to stay healthy for the swim suits!!!:-)

The hotel was in a perfect location for recent family get together. The staff was amazing but the rooms were so-so. It had a full kitchenette which was nice and convenient. The hotel felt damp inside like there was no A/C to dry out the humidity although it wasn't musty. The room was clean and there was not any sand smashed into the carpets- a big plus. The beds were a bit hard and uncomfortable. Also, there was only soap in the bathrooms no shampoo, lotion ,etc. Several family members had to go out and purchase these item. The continental breakfast was fair but the free happy hour complete with entertainment was nice. The pool and deck area was clean. Overall it was an okay place with a great staff.

Room Tip: Ask for a north facing beach view room, much better view.

We appreciate all who take time to send comments our way. Our friendly staff is so glad you felt Nautilus Inn was the perfect location for your recent family get-together. The spacious pool deck with tropical landscaping provides a great space for family gatherings. We do pride ourselves on being an exceptionally clean property. After some research, there was an issue with the hallway air conditioner that has since been rectified. Should a guest have a concern of any type, we make every attempt to address those matters right away. Thank you for choosing Nautilus Inn.

Friendliest hotel staff we've ever run across. Clean, we'll kept hotel. Good happy hour. Average continental breakfast. Nice quiet pool/hot tub area. The only issue we had was the degradation of the strip along Daytona Beach. The city needs to invoke a higher standard on both sides of the main drag. We've visited Daytona many times but will not return until the city improves it's standards. It's gotten more dirty, low quality shops, and there are many areas we would not venture near/after sunset anymore. Half of the buildings along the main strip need to be torn down. Sad how its changed. Tourism has to have declined in this city. Nautilus Inn is surely a bright spot if your going there however.

This hotel is replacing windows and doors until October. We were not told this when we made our reservation nor when we checked in. Monday morning we were awakened to hammering and then by 9:00 jack hammering on the balcony underneath ours. We complained, the desk clerk told us the noise doesn't usually bother people because they are there for the beach not to stay in the room! The day manager was a bit kinder but told us we could leave and she'd understand, but who wants to search for another hotel on their vacation. She did speak with the guys and they did start later on the other days; however, the noise was still very bad. Our tv went "no signal" 3 times during one news show and was snowy all other days. The breakfast bar has no protein or fresh fruit, no skim milk, nothing if you are trying to eat healthy.

Room Tip: Check your room location before accepting the room as to the renovation location. Be aware that you...
