“very disappointed in all conditions”
Reviewed 3 March 2011

Played VH 2 years ago and were thrilled with the facilities as well as the 4 (out 5) conditions of the course itself.

We came back this year as a result of that experience and will not come back.

The layout was still terrific but the greens were terrible - spotty grass - which led to much less than ideal putting conditions.

The fairways were fairly consistent but still a 3 of 5 rating.

Not sure what happened to this track - different management company perhaps?

Whatever the reason, and even at some extremely competitive deals offered, we would not recommend this track to anyone looking for the Victoria Hills of old - because it was nowhere to be found yesterday - sad to say.

“Amazing Course/Value”
Reviewed 21 January 2008

Truly our favorite course in Central Florida, and that includes some courses at 4 times the expense. We paid $109 for 36 holes including the cart. It's a bit of a drive from Orlando or Daytona (1/2 hour+ depending on traffic) but worth it 100%. The course layout is absolutely gorgeous. Electric carts with the best GPS I've ever seen. The greens were not perfect, but they were better than most considering the drought this year. The clubhouse and staff were fantastic...we even stayed for dinner which was actually a very nice menu/meal. Not your typical clubhouse food - real entrees.

“Best Public Gem in the Area”
Reviewed 22 September 2007

I am dreading the day this course becomes private, as more and more homes pop up around it- it seems to happen to the better courses.

Every time we have played here, the grounds have been immaculate, the greens in great shape, and the facilities very inviting. Best of all, the people who work there are actually friendly, and thank you for coming, thank you for playing there, etc. There is even somebody to greet you at the 18th green to clean your clubs.

There are a LOT of bunkers here, and it is a challenging course with an interesting layout, but also a very fair one from the shorter tees, depending on your handicap. The carts are equipped with a detailed GPS system.

If you are anywhere near here, such as in Daytona, it is well worth the half hour drive over to play here, you will not be disappointed- in my mind the best public course within a 30 mile radius.

“Top 25 Florida golf experience”
Reviewed 17 January 2005

Played here in October, 2003. The first thing I noticed is how deserted the golf course is this time of year. The second is the outstanding conditions, tee to green. Third, the golf course is very fair tee to green, running through a piece of land most architects would die for. The fees were low, around $50, for this high quality golf experience. The greens were rather undulating, providing the equalizer for fairly generous fairwa landing areas. I would put Victoria Hills a notch below World Woods and Southern Dunes, but certainly would hold its own against the remainder of top tier Central Florida golf courses.
