its 2nd floor location gives this eatery and lounge great unobstructed views of the Atlantic Ocean. Varied menu selections include fresh fish and more.

Strange that a restaurant with such great food, decor, and a spectacular view of the ocean from its second floor space wouldn't have a sign, but they don't. Some snafu with the Delray Beach bureaucrats that they hope to iron out soon. In any event, make the effort to find this place because it is really really good. I had a Manhattan and the Tuna Tartare and I could see from their execution of just two small items that these are folks who know what they're doing. Many have written on Yelp and elsewhere about 50 Ocean. It is a rare gem within the confines of that mostly disappointing category called: "ocean front dining."

The bar had a hign end choice of brands. We had a table by the window overlooking the beach & ocean. Not only was the food delicious, but the presentation was beautiful. I would highly recommend 50 Ocean.

We were looking for a restaurant close to the beach. This certainly fit the bill. All of us were looking for different seafood and fish dishes and we weren't disappointed. We started with different appetizers including Crispy Whole Belly Clams, King Scampi (prosciutto wrapped madagascar prawn, tomato-white wine butter sauce, roasted garlic crostini, kalamata dust), and the Rock Shrimp Pot Pie. All were perfectly prepared and served as they should be. One of us had the Lobster Bisque and it also was delicious (according to one of my dinner guests). To fill our need of fish and seafood we had Swordfish which was grilled, with 3-bean succotash, and roasted garlic herb spaetzle, and preserved lemon butter, also the Grouper which was baked, blue crab topped, with haricot vert, fingerling hash, warm black garlic and brown butter, and the Seafood Hot Pot for two which included fresh florida lobster, PEI mussels, madagascar prawn, judith point calamari, local fish, chili tomato broth, crispy rice noodles. All of us were full by the time we finished and all agreed this was the right choice for dinner. Yet we had room for dessert which included Key Lime Parfait, the Truffle Garden (which included tasting of truffles, sweet soil, vanilla ice cream, berries), and Apple Crumble. We will visit here again on our next trip to Florida.
