“Great Location, Nice Hotel”
Reviewed 29 February 2008

Stayed 2 nights at the Residence Inn. Excellent location. Five minute walk to the ocean, about 10 to the east side of downtown Delray.

I had a one bedroom suite with a kitchen and living room. All rooms have a balcony. The hotel is very clean. Very nice pool. Self serve breakfast is available everyday. The staff were always pleasant. Self serve laundry is available on 3 floors. Just remember to bring lots of quarters. The soap and softners are free at the front desk.

I plan on staying again when visiting family in the area. My only complaint is the price! Its high but the hotel is very nice and the location with free parking can't be beat.

The hotel is a block from the beach and is located directly next to another Marriott on Atlantic Ave, and A1A. The staff was friendly, they offer free parking, they provide a quality free breakfast in the morning and the rooms are clean, and large. It’s near the beach but short walking distance to the main town and highway access if you're driving. Decent pool area if you don't prefer the beach.

My husband and I just came back from 4 days at the Residence Inn at Delray Beach. We LOVED the location. Really, you only walk about one block, cross AIA at the lights and you are at the beach. You can rent lounge chairs at the beach for $10/per day. We went to Wallgreens and bought a sand chair for $15 (a lot cheaper then spending $40) The beach is gorgeous! The hotel is located on Atlantic Ave and there are so many shops and restaurants that go on for blocks. There is a shuttle that takes you up and down Atlantic Ave. The hotel was very clean and the beds were super comfortable. We liked to sleep with the sliders open, but it did make it very noisy. We had a studio, which was just like a regular hotel room, except there was a little kitchen against the entrance wall. We only used the refrigerator. They do have a complimentary breakfast every morning for 3 hours. Muffins, scrambled eggs, waffles, sausages, english muffins, bagels, fruit, yogurt, etc. Very adequate. There is coffee and tea available 24/7. We also enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi. They also have a computer in the reception area that is free of charge (even printing). We found the staff to be very welcoming and accommodating. We asked for a late check out on our last day for 1:00 pm. There is a pizza store in between the Residence Inn and the Marriott called Rustica .. the pizza (every kind imaginable) was delicious. We loved our stay and will definitely return.

We stayed from 18 Dec 2007 until 12th Jan 2008 and loved every minute of it. The hotel is nearly new, located on the main Avenue and is 4 minutes walk from the beach. Main attractions of the hotel are the large sized rooms; the swimming pool which is not cleaned using harmful chemicals and the attitude of ALL the staff. This is our 4th visit to this hotel from the UK and we are always impressed by the professionalism of the management and the helpfulness of all of the staff.

If you have ever stayed at a Residence Inn, you *will* be disappointed with the room you get at this location. It is not a small, apartment-sized set of rooms (or studio), but a regular hotel room that a bunch of tiny appliances in the hallway between the door and the bed. I've stayed more than a thousand nights at Residence Inns all over North America and this hotel is by no stretch the same class of hotel.

The room descriptions say "separate living area" and "sofa bed", but what you actually get is very similar to a Fairfield-sized, regular hotel room with an upholstered chair (no sofa bed). See the pictures for what these really look like

The rooms do not have a desk and the wired internet cable is beside the bed, not the folding kitchen table that might make do in a pinch. I have to balance my laptop on a tiny bedside table.

There is no reason to pay extra for these rooms over a regular bed-only hotel room. The finishing materials may be nice, but you don't get the extra space or work areas for that price. I don't see how a family would ever be able to prepare a meal here -- yes, there is a two burner cooktop, but there is virtually no counter space. There is a full sized fridge, but no oven.

I'd say that this hotel is suitable more for Spring Breaker type people who need a beer fridge rather than anyone on an extended stay or business people who need a place to relax and work. The room may be fine for those who need a fridge and a place to sleep, but it's not a Residence Inn room as far as I'm concerned.

I talked to someone at the front desk who said "that's what you reserved", but clearly there is no "separate living area" or sofa bed in this room. Now I know why the Marriott.com website photos for this property shows only a corner of the room. That's so that you can't see how really small the rooms are and how the "Full Sized Kitchen" is not much more than what you might get at a hotel that has a mini- fridge and a microwave.

I believe it is incredibly misleading for Marriott to use the Residence Inn banner on this property. This is not the same quantity or quality that customers expect of a Residence Inn.

Great Experience. Rooms have either a partial or full oean view, staff is attentive and responsive, rooms are older but clean and well maintaned, and the breakfast is adaquate. For $109- per night, off season, this is a terrific value. The location is perfect. One block from the beach and many, many restaurants within walking distance plus all the shops and galleries on Atlantic Avenue. No complaints, no problems, only kudos.

We pre-paid at the hotel website and got a great off season rate. The hotel is quick walk to the beach and an easy walk to all the shopping and restaurants on Atlantic Avenue. There is internet access in the rooms and one computer for guest use in the lobby. We liked the free covered parking which kept our car out of the blazing sun. The exercise room was small but adequate. My room had a lovely view of the ocean. Be aware that there is a large variety in the rooms sizes. Make sure you request that you want a living room in your suite. My room had a kitchen and a regular room with a kingsize bed. For the same exact price, my son had the full suite with the living room. We saw a suite with two king beds which was huge (ask for a corner room to get that) . The hotel includes a free full breakfast too. We found it to be clean and the staff very friendly. Overall a great stay.
