“Dewey Destin”
Reviewed 9 July 2014

Very good food but very, very noisy. Prefer Dewey's on Calhoun Street - very rustic, sit at picnic tables, eat from basket but has a marvelous sunset.

“Kinda boring”
Reviewed 8 July 2014

It's hard to find a parking spot, the shops are expensive, there are not much for the kids to do, and it's only like a block of walking with limited scenic views. You'll do better if you do a dolphin tour which will take you right pass the harbor where you could take nice pictures.

“Fun for the entire family”
Reviewed 5 July 2014

A must do when in Destin! Fun for all, many fun attractions. But do miss the old small fishing village feel that this area used to provide.

“Lovely place to visit”
Reviewed 5 July 2014 via mobile

My nieces (16 & 18), mother and I spent the greater part of the day here to enjoy the Mardi Gras parade. The parade was lovely, fun, and they had plenty of beads to go around. It was a parade suitable for any age family members.

Be sure to wear sunscreen as the entire area is open to sunlight exposure. There are very little shaded areas.

This is where many fishing charters and dolphin cruises leave from, but make sure you make a reservation or they won't have room for you.

The 7 D theater is a lot of fun. It is $12.84 per person and lasts a mere 4 minutes but it is worth your time.

There are lovely gift shops some with typical made in China items while others have beautiful locally made goods. Check both upstairs and downstairs so you don't miss a thing.

Parking is atrocious. They should consider creating an additional parking deck. My mother is disabled. We had to arrive at 2 pm in order to battle for a spot so we could make an 8 pm parade in time! Craziness.

Bottom line: Make sure you arrive early. Parking is extremely difficult to find. Wear sunscreen. Have fun!

“Great fun, great boat-- THE ROOKIE”
Reviewed 28 June 2014

My family and I booked a fishing charter for the 7 of us. Went on a 6hr fishing trip and caught 42 fish!!! Such good guidance from the captain Matt Woods and his partner Chipper. I would recommend going to visit them if your looking for a good time in fishing. They may come off a little rude but don't take their personalities the wrong way. Good guys, good help, and made for a great fishing trip! Thanks Chip and Matt!!
