We stayed here because we came a night early and our hotel at the beach was booked. This was one of the cheapest prices we found for a name brand motel --$149. That was way to much to pay for this joint. It is older and needs an update. It does look like they repainted but not really modernized. The pool is way outdated and they really need to paint the bottom--lots of stains. about a 9 inch hole in roof above sink in bathroom. Our biggest frustration was after we left the breakfast area we were ready to take our kids to the beach.....our youngest child had to potty really bad and the oldest was begging for us to hurry and get to beach. We made it to room and we could not open the door!! The safety latch had locked without us in there!! We were very aggravated--one kid was begging to poop and the other to leave and we were frustrated! Our keys and personal items were locked in the room! It took the guy about ten minutes to get it unlocked--he had a tool for this.....there were also scratches on the door which clued us in that this was not the first time this had happened. This should have been fixed before anyone else stayed here!! GGRRRRRRR. After we made it back to the beach and needed a TV sitter to keep kids occupied while we showered and dressed the TV did not work!! No signal. We called front desk and told them the TV was not working and the attendant said "Sorry" and hung up. GRRRRRRRRRRR We will not be back and we don't recommend you to visit!! This place should be a $59 hotel not a $149!!

Room Tip: Do not stay in 213!!!!

Dear Guest, I apologize that we did not meet our standard on your recent trip at our hotel. the previous management had done a major upgrade and renovation that meets the current sleep inn prototype. that includes new FF&E, fresh paint with accent walls, new bedding, mattresses and carpets in the rooms and corridors. if you noticed a scratch on the door, its been caused by the security latch that are often used as the door stopper. i apologize that latch closed on your way out of the room. however we do have public restrooms for your convinience on the ground floor. i apologize that it consumed 10 mins for me to open the security latch but however i had honored you late checkout for that inconviniece. i noticed a pillling above the sink caused by unexpected rain storm , however my clerck immediately responded and made sure all your concerns were resolved if not we offer a room change. i understand it is inconvinient.

your feedback is very important to us. i apologize we could not meet our own standard. we hope you give us another chance to accomodate you and make it right for you on your next visit.

,Thank you

Great staff. Our room had a slight musty smell but over all the room was very clean and the furnishings seemed new and up to date. The shower worked great as did the mini fridge. The mattress and bedding seemed brand new. I would stay here again.

Check in was easy, arrived early and was greeted by friendly employees. The staff was always kind and helpful. Received 2 complementary bottles of water and Orbits gum for being "choice member". Nothing fancy, gesture was nice.
Room Review:
Noticed our room number had fallen off. Looks like it was held by some type of caulk; other room numbers also had fallen off. Kind of a odd welcome. Open the door to our room and it had a very weird odor. Smelt like fresh paint possibly. Sticky carpet that later turned our feet black. Bathroom was not cleaned well. Toilet had urine and hair on it. Hair in tub, and the bath stool had hair and yellow stains all over it. Hand towel that was nicely placed on towel rack by sink had pink stains on it. My husband went to use the remote for the TV and there was a fake eyelash stuck to it!! Disgusting.
Requested fresh towels one day and had them delivered to us; after old ones were swapped for the fresh ones. Second day, same scenario, but had to bring the old towels to the front desk to swap for fresh ones. Didn't think that was very professional, but nothing major.
Over all, for the rate we got, it was worth it. I would never pay over $100/night to stay here though. Bed was hard, but comfortable. Complementary breakfast was ok. Waffles were good, coffee taste like muddy water. Staff was friendly.
Advice to future occupants:
Request room down stairs.
Request room on the East/West side of hotel, easier access to loading/unloading into the hotel.
It does seem like they tried to remodel the rooms/hotel, but used the cheapest route.

Staff was very nice and helpful. They allowed us to check in a little early so we could get on out to the beach. They provided us with a small care package and asked us constantly if we needed anything. Only issue is room we had used to be a smoking room so it had a oder.

Breakfast was busy, so get in there early.

Room Tip: Higher floors are quieter

Well, first and foremost I should preface this review with the fact that I am a local resident; for what it's worth.

Having said that, the particular relevancy in this scenario was quite direct and I found myself in what you would call "in between a rock and a hard place."

Considering my entire reason for the stay was due to a work related scheduling conflict in which I ended up stranded with very few options on the table. Without the assistance and gracious, accommodating demeanor of the associate that assisted me: my past 24 hours would have been spent in much less desirable circumstances; to put it lightly.

(I think his name was Mihir ?" Worked with me on the issue of my having mixed methods of payment; and out of the 4 hotels I had tried to book that night he was the only associate that actually SOLVED my problem thru means of actual thoughtful, bureaucratic defeating actions.

To surmise, my stay was perfect. The building seemed recently remodeled, and for a walk-in booking during this season the cleanliness of the room as well as the available amenities greatly surpassed what I would have expected for the rate I paid.

Highly recommend, and kudos to everyone who assisted me; it was much appreciated.

Room Tip: Avoid the room closest to the front desk (107) as it shares a wall with the general lounge area for...
