Stayed with my son and grandson. Let them have the bedroom. BIG MISTAKE on grandma's part. Hide-a-bed was horrible. Slept on couch second night. Breakfast was awesome and the atrium is beautiful. Service is excellent. Access to the beach is across the street, got a little warm walking back after getting out of the sea breezes..

My family of 5 was traveling across the state of FL and decided it would be fun to spend the night at the beach. We hoped online the night before and were thrilled to find a room with two double beds and booked it right away. Upon arriving the next day, we realized we had inadvertently booked a smoking room, and our first thought was we were going to have to hit the road again in search of a motel away from the beach in order to afford 2 rooms with enough space for 5. Luckily the front staff was kind. They allowed us to go to the room to do a smell test, and surprisingly it wasn't like walking into a bar. We thought maybe we can do this, and it was then that the hotel offered to bring in some sort of machine to further reduce the smell. We left for an hour, and all was good for the night. The hotel is a short walk across the street to the beautiful beaches, and it was clean and very well kept. I would definitely stay here again.

Our family had just left an embassy suites in New Orleans and I can tell you that our stay at the Destin location not only made up for the dissppointment with the other location, but blew away all the other Embassy Suites we have evr visited. From the greeting when we arrived to the goodbye at the end of our stay EVERY single employee was friendly, courteous and respectful. The hotel smells GREAT like a warm vanilla candle everywhere you go. THe cleaning staff was attentive and worked hard to ensure your stay was comfortable. On our last night at the hotel, we ate dinner at the cafe and the food was fresh, cooked to order and delicious, especially the fried cheescake! We loved the beach, and the access walk is easy. We will definitely be visiting again in the future and have already been telling our friends that this is the hotel to visit.; Great Job!

This Embassy Suites hotel is in excellent condition. The service is exceptional – all staff members were eager to assist. The food is plentiful and outstanding. To get the beach, you only have to cross a 2 lane street with safe cross-walk and low speed limit – we felt very safe.

We went to Destin last year and stayed at a hotel in Ft Walton instead. It was beach front but very old and offered no breakfast. When traveling to Florida, I always try to pick a nice hotel with a breakfast buffet. The 4 star hotels never seem to offer free breakfast buffet. We have two kids 8 and 12 and each have their own picks on hotels. It was hard to find a hotel is beachfront, breakfast buffet and clean. This hotel was a perfect pick for our short trip.
We had the room with the pull out sofa and it was perfect for us. It was like a 1 bedroom apartment with a living room so we all had lots of privacy. For the 3 day stay it was so pleasant.
The room and bed was so clean and comfortable. Inside of the bedroom, there was an extra sink, so we never had to wait too long when getting ready in the morning. The fridge was a plus for drinks and snacks. We always have to bring our work with us and the room had a huge desk for two people to work at the same time. Our kids did not want to leave because the hotel ambiance made it very unique. Our room was upstairs and below us was the open area for all dining. It was like an indoor courtyard nicely decorated. The best part of this trip was the breakfast buffet and the snacks and free drinks after 5:30. The buffet had lots of bacon and made to order omlettes with so many other breakfast food and drinks. The evening snack bar held us through till dinner.
We went to Crabshack down the road from there. It was beachfront and awesome food.
The beach was a few steps from the hotel. I thought i would be disappointed, but it was almost like beachfront for me. You have to get a code for the private beach and it was quite nice and clean with not alot of people.
This hotel was so convenient for us to access Starbucks, fastfoods, and outlet shopping. After leaving Destin, I believe we definitely will be back to Embassy Suites Miramar Beach.
The hotel staff were so friendly and helpful in helping me make the reservation.

Room Tip: Get a room away from the dining area. It gets loud in the morning.
