“Room was moldy and outdated.”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 August 2014

Our stay at Resorts of Pelican Beach was not pleasant. We rented our condo (#910) from Wyndham. The unit looked very nice online but unfortunately the mold smell was overpowering. The blanket for the pullout sofa had a large stain. However, the blanket was replaced with a clean one a few hours after we called Wyndham. It was difficult to sleep with toilet in the master bath running about every thirty minutes. This condo needs an update. Turning left out of the complex was virtually impossible. The beach was extremely crowded. We had to step over and around people to get to the water. We ended up leaving a day early. I will never rent from Wyndham again.

We're sorry to hear of your experiences at the Resorts of Pelican Beach. If you had rented through Pelican Beach Management, we could have assisted you.

As with most condominium properties, the units are owned by individuals and reflect their personal tastes. When renting through our on-site management company, you can have greater confidence you will be satisfied with your condominium upon arrival! We have the ability accommodate you with alternatives if something is not in order with your selected condominium rental. We have 24/7 maintenance service on site and if something cannot be immediately resolved in a timely manner, we have our inventory of available units for alternative arrangements.

My family and I have been to the Resorts of Pelican Beach 3 times. Each time renting a corner condo unit (love having 2 walls of windows with a view of the ocean). It is extremely nice that they give returning guests a discount. Check in staff is always nice. Had to call maintenance on a dishwasher that wasn't working. Had to call 3 times, but, the maintenance man was really nice and tool care of it for us. Units are all owned by individuals, so they are decorated different - but the layouts are the same. Really like how there are keyless entry now - just have to remember the code to your door. My boys love the indoor/outdoor pool. My husband and I love that we are steps away from our condo. There is covered parking, just have to be lucky enough to get a spot. Small arcade is fun for the kids, especially if there's bad weather that day. Most of our time is spent on the beach - we have our own chairs and umbrellas (but you can rent some). Beach was a bit crowded this time. I like to listen to the water/waves, but instead I was listening to 2 different radios blaring conflicting music styles (1 raggae/1 country). You can tell the building is getting older - looks a little warn down comparaed to other buildings around, but, still a great place to stay.

Room Tip: Pick a condo ending in '11' for a corner unit. We've stayed in 911 twice and 1611 this l...

We stayed at the Pelican many times but first time durring the summer. Our unit was extremly clean and smelled really nice.It had everything that we needed. My one and only complaint is beach chairs and umbrellas. If you want a spot right by the water you would have to get up no later than 5AM and claim your own spot.Yesterday I woke up at 6AM and we took the second row.Not only that I couldn't see my children but I had to feels beach umbrella stabbing on my sun burned back everytime I had to pass. They put them so close you have to crawl.Image on google map really represents the crowded beach.Honestly I can't wait to go back home and sleep since I'm not morning person.I think next summer we'll stay somewhere else and stay at the Pelican when it's off season.5 stars is for our unit 211 but for those who are renting those chairs and umbrellas 0 stars.I would rather buy something for my 3 kids than spend 50$ a day for renting.

We've stayed here for several years But this year may be our last. Room 811 was so low standard! The fridge had visible rust all on the right side, the living room furniture was structurally worn, falling lower where your tooshie goes & being higher on legs part, no light on ceiling fan, the living room tv was small, the remote was so old, no info was visible on buttons such as numbers, mute, go back button...nothing. It even looks like someone chewed on it. Patio furniture is dirty & seat falling in, no kitchen tupperware storage bowls, & only 2 saucepans & 1 skillet, no screen for patio door, which is nice to have if you enjoy hearing waves, dirty living room drapes, vacuum cord won't stay plugged in & stinks bad when being used. Bunk beds are pitiful! Kids move & it sounds HORRID! Maybe not safe...And they say miserable to sleep on! Dishwasher had wheel missing & you gotta wrestle the bottom drawer back in. Baseboards on wall are so chopped up & ugly, no main overhead light in master bedroom, bathroom is so small. Dark green carpet on bedroom floor & shows sand like crazy. No storage for anything hardly in the bathrooms, master bath drained soooo slow, water standing up your legs...toothpaste on the wall & picture, water pressure awful, facility advertises videos for guests but there's not any. Elevators are pitiful in reliability & have no air. It's awful hot to ride in & so stinky. Old dirty phones Would've went elsewhere but couldn't find another room. Dreadful singing one evening on beach. Staff is very courteous though & helpful & they have 24 hour front desk service.

My husband and I have been here twice now and we absolutely love it. The beach was absolutely gorgeous- clean and well kept. The condos are very spacious, tidy, and clean. Loved the view and peacefulness of the resort. We will definitely be back!

We enjoyed it i didn't apperciate the hidden fees using book it when i got there i owed fees for cleaning. Did like the hotel the beach was very crowded but otherwise good. There are to hotels beside us and we couldn't go there because they were time shares.

Room Tip: Get the ocean view!!

So after reading some of the reviews I was skeptical but it turned out to be a great place for us. The condo, 1903 is super clean, and decorated very modern with comfortable furniture and beds. The view was amazing, the staff was exceptionally friendly. The pools were small but honestly we stayed at the beach both days. The first day we got out there about 11 and paid for our chairs and were about 3 rows back but it wasn't a far walk or even overcrowded. The second day our chairs were already set-up for us when we came out at 11:30 and we were all the way up at the front. The water was super clear and at no time did I feel the beach was too crowded. Yes the resorts on both sides of us were nearly empty but that didn't make us feel crowded. Yes the elevators were hot and slow but they weren't smelly like some of the reviews I read. All in all it was a great place and I would come back anytime.

Room Tip: 1903! The higher the better
