“Right across street to Emerald Grande. Great place to eat.”
Reviewed 12 December 2013

We have eaten here many times and will eat there again. They serve a good and plentiful meals. The atmosphere is fun and if you looking for quietness this is not the place. They serve a good green alcoholic drink and you get to take home the quart jar it's served in.

“McGuire's Pub: Convenient and Memorable”
Reviewed 11 December 2013

Irish in name and style, McGuire’s Irish Pub is a great place to visit in Destin, both for its food and atmosphere. Located on the main drag in Destin, right next to the bridge that takes you to Santa Rosa Island, McGuire’s is an easy to find Destin landmark for food and drink and is very popular with tourists and locals.

McGuire’s menu selection is varied and while it may claim to be an Irish establishment, there is more to eat and drink than Shepherd’s Pie and Guinness. Yes, you can purchase the more traditional Irish fare, but the menu has something for all tastes, including some excellent steaks, seafood, about 30 assorted burgers, and standard American fare. My family and I found the food very good and the service equally impressive.

As for the drinks, McGuire’s does offer some delicious specialty drinks and it is classified as a brewpub because it does brew its own beer on site. The problem is, if you’re a big craft beer fan, the beer doesn’t quite measure up. It’s okay and will likely be enjoyed best by the non- craft beer fan who normally drinks Budweiser or Miller Lite. For craft beer lovers, however, it’s mediocre at best.

Still, the beer brewed on site is only a small strike, as McGuire’s is still a nice place overall with an eye- catching atmosphere, above average menu options, and a spirit of fun and debauchery. It’s a good place to stop for lunch or dinner if you’re vacationing in Destin or nearby.

“Business Christmas Luncheon”
Reviewed 10 December 2013 via mobile

One of my co-workers requested 'only lettuce' for his side salad. Our server, Cindy, explained that she would be picking out the shredded carrots & other items w/ HER HANDS if he truly wanted it served that way.

Speechless.

“Amazing food and cocktail!”
Reviewed 8 December 2013

This was my second visit to this restaurant and the food was amazing. We had a very large group, and while the seating wasn't ideal, the service was good. I had the salmon (wow.) and a S'Mores martini (oh. my. gosh.) which was delicious enough to be my dessert. Everyone seemed happy with their food. The servings are generous. My only complaint is that the bagpipers that came around were quite annoying and loud (our entire table felt that way).

“Good beer and Irish food -- but not seafood!”
Reviewed 7 December 2013

We had lunch here during the Thanksgiving holiday – the restaurant was packed and even at 2:00 we had to wait for a table. Our waitress was older, and was rudely insisted that I order before my son – the thing is he was ordering for all of us. She had other rules too that made it kind of awkward. The corned beef and cabbage was good – the fish and chips not so much; in fact my daughter-in-law felt ill after eating. Probably the coating held too much grease. The portions are huge – I recommend sharing (and I hope you get a different waitress!)
