I live a life of constant travel and I love staying in places that are not sterile, cookie cutter hotels. This bed and breakfast really tends to the details and has the most personable staff I have encountered in a while. In the price is breakfast (tended by a cook-to-order chef), snacks, drinks, lunch on your full days, free happy hour, a very nice welcome with a bottle of wine, and a very nice beach view. Loved every minute of it.

We recently stayed at the Henderson Park Inn for the first time. The TA reviews were what prompted us to choose this property and we are so happy we did! From the friendly check in with Amber at the front desk we were taken on a short tour of the main building and shown all the amenities....and there are many! Included with your stay is a welcome bottle of wine and grapes, daily "boxed" lunches which can be enjoyed on the massive deck, your balcony, the beach or a picnic anywhere you like! Also in the main building is a refreshment area with coffee, tea, hot chocolate plus mini fridges stocked with sodas and candy bars...yes...all included! But wait, I'm not finished....in the afternoon there is also lemonade and tea with fresh baked cookies! And did i mention the breakfast?.....the chef will whip you up an omelet or waffles to go with the bacon, sausages, grits, biscuits, fresh fruit, baked items and the list goes on. Meet out on the deck at 4 p.m....thats when Happy Hour begins at the Tiki Bar...and yes....its included. The bartenders were very friendly and even though we were a bit cold with the November breeze coming off the water, a patio heater helped as well as the endless glasses of wine! The rooms are very tastefully decorated. We were 3 rd floor in the East building with a spectacular view of the long stretch of white powder soft beach.
We would suggest anyone who visits Destin to try this beautiful B and B type resort...you won't be disappointed.

Room Tip: Go for the bigger rooms with the bigger balconies!

Great environment for a quick getaway with a loved one. The accommodations, service, staff, rooms, beach, and amenities are all you need (other than a companion) for a nice few days alone. Wine and flowers await in the room. Balconies overlooking the gulf coast for sunrise and sunset. Uncrowded beaches for nice walks. Candy bars upon return. A nice happy hour on the patio with perfect sunset views. We've been here twice so far and have never encountered a problem.

Room Tip: Corner rooms, west building are especially suited to private sunset views.

This place is quite a gem. Staying over Thanksgiving and we would expect the service to be off, but it has been perfect. Everyone is friendly, the other guests included. Great value with the breakfast and lunch included.

For a relaxing stay on a perfect swimmable beach with no kids, this is the place. We will be back, even with a 10 hour drive from Texas.

A lot safer than a trip to Mexico!

Sleep quality would be fabulous with the sound of the waves, but we heard loud stomping from the room above us that messed up the ambiance a bit. Sadly, the stomper was a very early riser.

Room Tip: There is some bleed through of noise from the room above us, or else there is just a really heavy wa...

My wife and I stayed at the Henderson Park Inn for a long weekend in early November, 2011. The place is great, the staff outstanding, the food delicious and the location just perfect. We are already planning on going back again. Thanks to all the staff for making this a wonderful relaxing short trip.

My husband and I stayed here for 5 nights in November, and it could not have been better. The services at HPI are above and beyond those of any resort or other b&b. We stayed in a junior suite in the main building, which I was skeptic of being in the main building b/c other reviews said that it could be a little noisy. We never heard a peep when we were in our room, which was directly over the restaurant. The balcony was spacious and had 2 chairs & a little table; perfect for sipping cappuccino in the morning & wine at night (both of which are complimentary). As you can see from other reviews, they keep refrigerators stocked with bottled water, soda & candy bars that are available to guests 24/7. There is also a coffee/latte/espresso/cappuccino machine that is complimentary as well, along with hot cocoa mix, DVDs, board games, books and beach towels. They set out the same number of beach chairs as guests, so you are always guaranteed a prime beach spot. My favorite part: NO KIDS ALLOWED. It is so hard to find a place these days that don't have kids running around screaming and playing, so it made for a very nice, quiet time.

The breakfast is to die for. I'm not talking some lame pastry breakfast, either. Cooked-to-order omelets & Belgian waffles, biscuits & gravy, sausage, ham, bacon, muffins, bagels, cereal, fruit & yogurt, etc. Anything you could possibly want for breakfast. We enjoyed their cozy restaurant some mornings, but we also sat on the deck overlooking the ocean. Simply stunning after the sun rises.

For lunch, they provided us with delicious boxed lunches made from a local deli. You have about 7 or 8 (or more?) options to choose from so you never have to have the same thing twice. Fresh cookies, lemonade & tea are also available during lunch hours. We ate lunch on the beach, on the balcony, in the restaurant and out on the large deck. The sea gulls never bothered us, although we did feed our leftover bread crumbs to them.

Happy hour was also something to look forward to every day. Free beer, wine & mixed drinks at sunset make this place very hard to beat.

We were welcomed in our room the first night to a bottle of wine & wine glasses (which they replaced daily for us), grapes & chocolates. We slept every night with the balcony doors wide open as to hear the crashing waves. So very soothing.

The beach itself was very clean until our last day. It had been pretty chilly the day before and it had rained a little; there were lots of jellyfish that had washed up onto the beach and you could see some out in the water. Clumps of seaweed had also made its way on shore. But being there 5 days before, we had not seen any of this. Each day, the sand was bright white and unimaginably soft (they raked it every other morning or so). The water was clear as day, beautiful emerald green. My other favorite part: Since the inn sits at the end of a cul-de-sac and on the edge of a state park beach, there are no other buildings to the west for at least 1 1/2 or 2 miles.

Henderson Park Inn deserves its spot at the top of the list of hotels in Destin. It is as all-inclusive as you're going to find in America. My husband & I didn't want to have to travel to an all-inclusive resort in the Caribbean for $400+ per night. After staying here, that seems ridiculous.

As far as the room goes, the Junior Suite was just the right size for us. It had a queen size bed and additional sitting room (not counting the chairs on the balcony). Very spacious and cozy. We were on the second floor and heard no one above us. It could've been that there wasn't anyone on the 3rd floor, as the week was pretty quiet all-around.

Stunning sunsets and amazing sunrises; views that are second-to-none. There is absolutely no way you can go wrong staying here.

Room Tip: 2nd floor rooms in the main building have much larger balconies than 3rd floor rooms. 3rd floor room...
