"Old Florida" is a good description of this small hotel. It's not fancy, but the rooms are large, equipped with ful kitchens, well maintained and impeccably clean, and it's very convenient to visiting downtown Dunedin or hiking/biking the Pinellas Trail. Note there's no swimming pool if that's an important amenity for you.

The owners treat guests like visiting friends, and the guests treat each other like long-term neighbors. More than "pet friendly", I'd call it "pet welcoming". Including the welcome from the owners' two dogs.

No wi-fi, no business center, no fancy restaurant. No bar, either, but it's a short walk to several. I wouldn't want to work from here but it's a comfortable place to play tourist.

Fancy it's not, but fun and friendly it is. This is a family run hotel and they couldn't be better. From the minute we arrived they were helpful and went out of their way to make us comfortable. Our room was basic, but spotlessly clean with a full kitchen, AC and TV. This was our little rescue dog's first trip and he was made to feel welcome as well. It is centrally located. You can walk along the sound to downtown with all the restuarants. They gave us bikes to use on the Pineallas Trail which was across the street. Great little find. We loved it.

We enjoyed a week at the Seaside Artisan with our dog. The rooms aren't big but they are clean. The service isn't much but they are friendly. The atmosphere is very laid back and it would be difficult to beat the location.

It's not going to win any awards but we'd definitely go back.

Room Tip: Don't take the rates as fixed in stone -- call the owners and negotiate.

The room was clean, and as another person stated, somewhat dated. The kitchenette had everything I need although you have to supply even dishsoap. Bought a bottle and used about 4 drops so I left it, hopefully, for the next renter. I was uneasy staying there alone because the door to the room looked like people had tried to break in. There was a hole in the screen near the handle that opened the windows and the wood by the bolt was worn away. One night there was a loud commotion outside. Other than to pay the man, I never saw the owners.

Our Border Collie "Beau" loved and enjoyed walking the trail and along the water, Dan and Sue were her best friends, especially when Sue gave her treats. We have been staying here at least 8 years right after Dan and Sue bought it. We started out staying one week in December and now are spending 3 months during the winter. The rooms are well equiped and are extremly "clean". You can't go wrong unless you want to spend major bucks and then you may waste your money. If you are there during the winter bring your favorite soup recipe for our residence "Share Your Soup Night".

The owners are super friendly and love dogs. Very accomodating- we had kayaks in the truck one time and the let us off-load them in the back for safe keeping. Efficiency rooms with 2 beds and a couch plus a recliner. The decor is definitely dated but very clean!!! Walking distance to downtown, the pier, Pinellas trail, and most importantly- Dunedin House of Beer!!! Note- they do not accept credit cards!!!
