This was always our go to place in Englewood and showed up for dinner twice the last couple of months. Just recently found out that there were new owners, and it explains a bit. It's very difficult to take over and try to offer the same menu from someone else who had perfected it for so many years.
We ordered the BBQ and the tenderness wasn't quite what it was before, and the cuts of chicken they use are also a little different. Slow cooked method Needs some work. Otherwise, the cornbread was as good as always, the fries were good, the Mac and cheese was good, and all of it was perfectly warm. (Something always came out could before, knew or old owners!).
The others at the table enjoyed their meals - burger, chicken tenders - so that seemed to be up to par as well.
I'd say they need to work on the slow-cooked all-you-can eat items, but all else was good. I will give it a few weeks and try again.
