Grove City Motel reminds me of how motels were run back in the 60's. The owners( Gela & Al) live on site and are highly conscious of their guests and their comfort. It's clean and well run plus Gela & Al are very friendly. " Ask and you shall receive" seems to be their motto, and if not, should be. We were just there for a couple of weeks and reserved for next winter. It's not a particularly modern place, of which I was glad, but very well run and cared for. That, to me, says it all. The fact that the cost is so reasonable is a big added bonus. The road noise takes a bit of getting used to but the location is so handy to a laundromat a mile away and all kinds of shopping and restaurants a mile in the other direction. There are two restaurants a walk across the street which were both very good. Great place in a great location and about a ten minute drive to Englewood Beach. You can't beat it for the price! That's why we're going back.

Room Tip: Twin beds took some getting used to but were very comfortable as were the Queen beds. End units have more cross ventilation.

Great place to stay for either a short period of time or multiple weeks. I'd heard about this hideaway motel from a friend who came down last year. I traveled alone due to a family emergency and immediately felt at home when I got to the location. The kitchenette area and living area are big enough to allow more than one person to dine and relax if needed. And the grounds are absolutely flourishing with flora and fauna from the area. I was told by the owner Gela she had planted the plants and trees that line the walkways to the pool area. It was such a great peaceful and relaxing atmosphere to be in after the sad situation I had to be apart of in town. I definitely recommend this place.

The hotel was clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked and had a coffee pot. The pool area is jungle-like with palm trees and bushes surrounding the pool. It's beautiful. There was some night noise from the highway.
I'd stay there again.

Al and Gela are perfect hosts. They are quiet and gracious and are there if you need anything and the rest of the time they are "backstage" to serve you if needed. We stayed for 2 weeks. Our unit was clean, comfortable and attractive. The gardens and heated pool behind the motel are quiet, peaceful and inviting. We liked it so well that we have reserved 3 weeks in March 2015.

Spent 3 weeks here in February and it was really nice. Mostly couples stay here, few if any children as the units are all 1 bedroom, but do have a convertible sofa in the living room. There is also one larger cottage. The grounds are very lush with many tropical trees and plants, and there is a heated pool with a nice deck to sit around. Owners are very friendly and helpful with area information and there are several restaurants within walking distance of the motel and Publix is only about a mile up the road. There are 2 nice parks within walking distance with lots of trails, where we saw an eagle and 2 eaglets in their nest. We would definitely go back again.

Room Tip: I would say that all the rooms are pretty equal. There are no bad ones, that I am aware of.
