We spent the night here because we wanted to see all that this old, historic town has to offer. Our room was comfortable and clean. The mood of the motel is quiet and relaxing. There are restaurants and cafes within walking distance or a three block drive. The motel staff is very friendly and efficient. We really enjoyed our stay. Be sure to check out the town's historic museum and also the Everglades National Park office.

We booked this motel because there weren't many choices. Instead of a dingy little motel room we expected for the night, we found our room clean and fresh upon opening the door. We were more surprised by the totally renovated bathroom which is spacious, granite topped, and supplied with shower gel and shampoo. The best thing was the friendly reception and the free bike to ride around town.

We booked here because it was more affordable than most Everglades City places and we wanted to spend one night so we could visit the glades. We expected an old standard motel. This followed our disastrous night in Ft. Lauderdale, so clean would have been sufficient. The room was more than that, it was spacious, clean, convenient and comfortable.

From the outside the Everglades City Motel looks like an old school motel but the clean, spacious rooms have been renovated and have much to offer. Two beds, a small fridge and sink, flat screen TV, and the best part--a large updated bathroom with granite vanity and bowl sink. The front desk staff was excellent and gave us a thorough orientation to the area. The location is perfect for a visit to the Everglades Gulf Coast Visitor's Center or the Great Cypress Swamp. The town grocery stores are quite limited, so if you need supplies you should buy them before you arrive.

We were very disappointed in this motel. It was worn and outdated. The air conditioner was noisy and the room had a funny odor. It was not dirty but definitely not spotless either. On the plus side, the people working there were very friendly.
