This was a fantastic experience. The scenery was diverse and very beautiful. It was a real adventure going through tunnels of mangroves and pulling ourselves along with the branches. John was a great guide and provided us with a lot of information along the way. We went on the 7:30am - 11:30 tour and it was worth getting up early. Hardly any mosquitoes that I saw. We heard there were a lot more mosquitoes on the evening tour. Ivey House was also a great place to stay. The breakfast was fantastic. And there is a restaurant nearby at the river - also in Camellia St that was also great. Their salads had herbs from their own garden in it and they had extremely fresh fish. And a vegetarian menu too. Plus live country music at the weekends.
