This place was pretty cool; kinda touristy but nonetheless fun. We went at a good time of year so it wasn't a madhouse.
Would recommend

Johnny is a SUPER good guide and guy

Every time I have friends visit , this tour is a must. We have been on every tour they offer and each one is an adventure! Captain John was fantastic. We had fun cruising through the mangroves and viewed 5 alligators. Captain John very informative and a lot of fun. We were able to snap lots of pictures . There are coupons on line.

WOW! What a trip through the Everglades! It was fun and beyond expectations! We were looking for a place to take an airboat ride and the people at the Subway shop down the road suggested Jungle Erv's, and I am so glad we listened. The people were so nice and friendly. There is a neat little boardwalk you can go on while you wait for your ride. We saw some alligators as we walked on the boardwalk. It was pretty neat! During the ride we saw more alligators and the Captain told us how to figure out how long the alligator was. He was knowledgeable about the alligators and about the wildlife in the area. Thank you for a wonderful experience. We were more than thrilled!

We did the split tour and didn't regret it.

"In town tour" - Brian was our guide and was a blast. We had the airboat to ourselves and let him know that we were up for some adventure and wild riding. He was excited to hear and didn't disappoint! We bounced and turned and laughed a ton. We were able to view a few gators, but this part of our trip was meant for the ride. Brian was fishing as we trolled back through the dock area and hooked a fish and let our 16 year old son reel it in. It was quite the experience for him as they were probably 30 people watching and cheering. It was a snook "in the slot" which evidently is something big. (We are not fisherpeople). It was an experience our son will not soon forget.

On 41 tour - I'm sorry I have forgotten our guide's name for this one,but he told us that Brian taught him how to drive the airboats which my kids found funny because he was much older than Brian. This was the "gator viewing" portion. We saw several gators and were even able to get out and have pictures taken with one of the big males (hubby wasn't so sure about this). We were also able to see some raccoons that were obviously used to being fed by the guides and came very very close to us. This part of the trip was at a much slower pace which was perfect.

Boardwalk - we didn't arrive until after 1500 and didn't have time to get to this, although they did offer to honor our ticket the next day.

The combo is the way to go! Look for the coupons at the Visitor's point-they were $20 off the combo tour per person.

We had a fantastic time with our captain cruising through the Everglades. It was just the two of us with two other ladies from Sweden. I had looked them up online and printed a coupon.
Our captain found 2 big alligators and he gave us plenty of time snap pictures and have a good look at it. He also showed us some raccoons. They were so adorable (I know most people consider them to be annoying critters but they are cute)

After the trilling ride we also got to go on the boardwalk, which I believe is unique to this place, compared to the others in Everglades City? We were warmly greeted by a crocodile “wrestler” who explained us everything about alligator anatomy and he let us hold on to and cuddle a baby alligator (about 3 feet) Great fun !!!

Afterwards you can walk around the boardwalk, which was very calm this time of year and no mosquitos and just look around. We found another two big alligators there.

I have no means to compare to the other airboat tours but we had a blast and if I ever go back I would definitely go with Jungle Erv’s again.
