all in all, our stay here was prettty good, but the little things bog down this review! i was to the understanding that the pool was heated, but it was a bit on the chilly side. we were still able to swim but had to get use to it. where the rooms are located, it's all screened in so it was really hot and humid stepping out of your room. the rooms themselves, were clean and very roomy! there are only a handful of restaurants in everglades city, but we did find one that served pizza til 9 pm. no delivery, but they do offer a 10% discount to hotel guests in the area. the ivey house breakfast needs a little work. it's all cold except what you can put in a toaster. our stay at random hampton inns on the way down at least served eggs, meat, and other hot offerings. don't let my nitpicking set you off this place. i would definitely stay here again.

Very clean and efficient. The rooms were functional and the pool was maintained. Struggled a little with the chairs outside the rooms and why anyone would want to sit there (felt a little dirgy). Staff were helpful and friendly

Thank you for your review and for your recent stay at The Ivey House. We have taken extra caution to clean all the furnishings located in the courtyard so this would not affect further guests.
Thank you for your feedback. We hope your travels might bring you back to the Ivey House again in the future.

A very welcoming, clean hotel with very friendly staff and great breakfast. The canoe tour is a must. Troy was brilliant! Lovely pool and free tea and coffee all day. Definitely recommend highly. I would certainly go back.

Booked into this hotel for 2 nights. Lovely quaint hotel in quiet surroundings. We were booked onto the eco-kayak plus airboat trip. Both exhillarating & fun. Russell our kayak guide was very friendly & knowledgable. Dined each night in the Island Cafe as was in walking distance to the hotel. The net covered pool was great to have a dip in but not that big for swimming lengths. The staff we had contact with were very friendly. a great place to stay.

I can't even begin to list all the wonderful things about Ivey House. The Inn is immaculate from the time you enter the property. They are Eco-friendly in so many ways, which we greatly appreciate. The king room we had was right off the pool, which was very lovely as hotel pools go. It was screened in which made it even better. There is lots of security, so you don't have to worry about folks being there who shouldn't be. The room had a flat screen TV, vaulted ceiling and a ceiling fan! You don't find that often in a hotel room. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast buffet was more than adequate with lots of fresh fruit and delicious coffee. There is lots to do right at the Inn. Worth a trip to Everglades City to stay at Ivey House!

Went in the summer when most id closed by still got to explore the environment. The accommodations were modern (so many lights!) and comfortable. Outside the room was an inside pool open to the air by netted for mosquitoes. The continental breakfast was good as well. Didn't have much interaction with the staff but they were responsive to questions and recommendations. Food around town was less than horrible. Best place seemed to be back on US 41 east a few miles. Ivey House is convenient to three entrances to Everglades National Park. Take a boat ride out into the 10,000 islands, walk a boardwalk across the Big Cypress Swamp, take a canoe up river into the glades. It's all there.
