Relaxed and comfortable inn on a magnificent stretch of beachfront. Homemade cookies and wine and hor d'oeurves are a nice touch.

We had a perfectly-exquisite experience. Our room was clean; lots of over-stuffed pillows; a large, well-appointed bathroom and shower with a huge tub; all accompanied by a beautiful view of the Atlanatic Ocean - what's not to like?

You expect a lot when you pay north of $300/night for a hotel room. Nevertheless, we were absolutely overwhelmed. We've both been fortunate in that we've traveled extensively all over the U.S. as well as to a number of very nice international destinations, and to us the day and night we spent here was as nice as any we have experienced in a long, long time.

The folks who work here smile all the time and greet you and truly seem to love their jobs - very refreshing for anyone who has been travelling post-9/11. The room was ready at check-in and was clean and very orderly and neat. The view was incredible - the Atlantic Ocean up in northern FL is actually much more serene and calm than down south past Daytona all the way through Miami to Key Biscayne.

I highly recommend you get a high-quality bottle of champagne and sit out in a rocker on the porch facing the ocean as the evening stars come out - take in the breeze off the ocean, watch the tide pull back, listen to the faint sounds of some good-old-time rock-n-roll being played a couple hundred yards north of you at a local beach bar, and then tell me how anyone could find any place better for the money to re-connect with your significant other.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and will certainly return often to this simply lovely destination.

Room Tip: Pay extra for beachfront - it is worth it!

Spent a wonderful romantic weekend at this lovely inn right on the beach. The beach is terrific and umbrellas and chairs and towels are provided for guests. Rooms are small but immaculate and big overstuffed pillows line the bed. Lovely bath. Appetizers and wine are served in the evening and breakfast in the morning. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Room Tip: Try to get a room on the southern side of the inn since there is a restaurant with a band that plays mosts nights on the other side. Higher up is better.

We found Elizabeth Pointe on tripadvisor. We loved it! We spent part of our anniveray there in July 2010. The breakfast was wonderful, sitting on the beach early in the morning (very romantic), and the employees were very nice. The best part was raising the window at night and letting the waves sing us to sleep.

The Elizabeth Point Lodge is a beautiful Inn right on the beach on Amelia Island, FL. It was so cozy and inviting that I did not want to leave. I had a King Size Bed with an Ocean View. The bathroom was amazing- you had your choice or rainfall, handheld, or regular showerhead. The breakfast was more than expected, and I especially enjoyed the welcome reception at 6 p.m. that serves wine, cheese, and on my night crab quiche and allows you to get to know the other guests.

Amelia's downtown is just as much of a draw as the beach, so I highly recommend giving yourself time to explore.

All in all the Elizabeth Point Lodge is worth it and more

Room Tip: Try room 416. Ocean view, very cozy, not overly large but the bathroom has plenty of room. The ocean will definitely lull you to sleep.
