“Ate Breakfast here only”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 December 2013

My husband and I were staying next door in a condo. We check with this lodge to see if we could eat here and they said they were open 24/7 to eat for anyone. Sandwiches or soups anytime and larger meals at meal times. We ate the most wonderful breakfast outside one morning with magnificent views of the ocean. If you are staying here or any where close by try eating here. Nice staff also.

We stayed four nights at the Elizabeth Pointe Lodge in the Tradewinds Suite. As far as we were concerned, this is the room to get if you go there. It is in a separate building next to the main lodge, but it is only a one minute walk to the lodge and you have your own private parking space in front of the building. The room is spacious with a king bed, sofa, two comfortable chairs, flat screen television, a very large bathroom, and a spacious deck that looks out over the ocean. The view is fabulous and if you leave the doors open at night you can hear the waves crashing on the beach. Breakfast is included and is delicious, with many many options. Although they do not serve meals to anyone outside of the lodge, you can get 24 hour room service here and the food that is prepared is excellent. At lunch there is a limited menu, however, as with breakfast, if you don't see something on the buffet at breakfast or on the menu at lunch, they will make you whatever you want! There are bikes you can rent for a nominal fee and the staff is personable, friendly, and extremely attentive. The beach here is wide and beautiful, and the lodge has its own beach chairs, loungers and umbrellas for guests. We also considered staying at the other end of the island at the Ritz Carlton or the Omni, but are so glad we chose Elizabeth Pointe Lodge. It is only a five minute drive to the historic town of Fernandina Beach, which is a very quaint and beautiful village with excellent restaurants and shops, and the state park at Fort Clinch is only a two minute ride by car or bicycle. We would highly recommend Elizabeth Pointe Lodge for its location, for the quality of the lodging, and for the outstanding service of the staff.

Room Tip: We would highly recommend the Tradewinds Suite.

Elizabeth Pointe Lodge exceeded our expectations. We stayed for 4 nights to celebrate our mother's birthday. The rooms were beautiful, the beds comfortable, breakfast delicious. We enjoyed the wine and cheese time by playing board games in front of the fire (it was a bit chilly). Everyone slept well with the comfy beds and sound of the ocean. Above all the service was beyond -- friendly, sincere and they accommodated every little request. The manager Olivia was invaluable in helping us plan the best experience while on Amelia Island. We would recommend this cozy, personal and beautiful lodge.

I must preface this by saying that we are not really Bed and Breakfast/ Lodge people.
That having been said, if we go to a Lodge or Inn, we want some space to " spread out". EPL does not provide that in its very intimate setting where a group of six people can take over and dominate the " common area".
Because the Lodge was busy, our room choice was limited and I am sure that there are more spacious rooms than the one we had (415).
That having been said, the people running it were very nice, the service was great, the breakfast was delicious and you expected Bob Hartley to come out and greet you at any minute.
Great spot for cozy lodge people.

Room Tip: Oceanfront or bust.

We just enjoyed a 4 day trip to Amelia Island with my parents. Elizabeth Pointe Lodge made it special. Nestled in a beautiful Nantucket-inspired hotel, the EPL team made all of us feel welcome and found us great spots to eat, including our Thanksgiving meal. Not an easy task!
We loved the breakfast dining area with the terrific view of the ocean and the cozy fireplace at night! Our boys loved exploring the building, including the elevator rides!, and finding some fun games to check out while we sipped on wine and caught up with family.

Room Tip: The hotel is super quiet from whichever vantage point you choose. We should know, it was very windy...

My sisters and I had the best time at this beautiful lodge. The staff, the food and the room were perfect. Watching the sunset from your lovely porch was breathtaking. Thank you for everything. I will definitely recommend you to our friends.

We met 27George here coming from hot, sunny Bonita Springs. Unfortunately, a big storm with lots of wind blew through but we had a fabulous time anyway. The Lodge is comfortable, staff incredibly friendly and helpful and the view of the ocean magnificent. So many little extras…homemade cookies and snacks available all day…delicious different breakfast every morning with real eggs!!! and wonderful fresh breads, and everything else you can imagine…excellent recommendations for local restaurants (we especially liked 29South). We are very fussy and this would definitely be our choice over a large 5 star resort on the Island.

Room Tip: Ocean house has larger rooms but we enjoyed being in the Lodge on the Ocean side.
