My wife and I spent our 4 year anniversary here and it couldn't of been any better. The Addision is in a great location within walking distance to the downtown restaurant and bars. The breakfast is a reason to rise and shine, even after a few of the late nights.

Excellent service, great accomodations, friendly smiles, and Bob will steer you in the right direction. An awesome B & B, we will definitely be back!!!

I wanted to take my wife to a memorable spot while I attended the Amelia Island car show and the Addison was so much more than I expected. Their hospitality, the food, the location, the rooms were so much more than I could have hoped for. The main house has older rooms and there are rooms added on that have the look of being original to the house, but they are quiet, clean and modern. No question, my wife and I will return again to The Addison. My only advice about The Addison is, book early, it will fill up.

Room Tip: Ask for a room looking into the court yard.

What a fabulous find! A truly inviting place with innkeepers that make you feel right at home. Happy hour was filled with delicious apps and drinks and lots of laughs with other guests. Breakfast was our favorite part. Gourmet all the way...a surprise we looked forward to every morning. Shannon and Bob, thanks for making our getaway absolutely perfect!

Room Tip: Choose one of the bigger rooms. We opted for a small one and would have preferred a bit more space...

We found the Addison via TripAdvisor. It's in a perfect location for GA, FL, and SC residents looking for something more soothing than Charleston or Savannah. The Addison sits on the inside of the island away from the Atlantic, but it's also the fun side. You can sightsee or pub-crawl; you can eat at some wonderful full-service restaurants; and if you want a beach, you can walk along some very uncrowded beaches, at least in May. Bring an umbrella and spare sandals.

The Addison itself: Wonderful service, wonderful rooms, wonderful hospitality. Don't miss Happy Hour. Bob figured out that I'd miss breakfast every morning, and kept something set aside for me. I guess the most complimentary thing I can say is that we're going back soon, and getting up in time to make happy hour!

Room Tip: There are stairs -- check with the innkeepers for suitable rooms for mobility impairments.

Had a lovely four days at The Addison. Bob and Shannon are wonderful hosts, and their Happy Hour is a great way to meet new people and exchange ideas. This really is hotel quality accommodation but much more intimate and with every attention to detail thought through. We have travelled all over the world and would throughly reccomend a stay here, do not hesitate. The location is great for the historic area of Fernandina Beach and for wonderful restaurants. Thank you Bob and Shannon and your girls. I am sure we will see you again.

Room Tip: Room 3 is wonderful with a large private porch.

The Addison is one of the nicest B & B's that we've stayed at. The grounds are beautifully kept and the rooms are tastefully decorated. Innkeepers Shannon and Bob have a keen eye for the little extras that make guests feel welcome and special. One evening, Bob arranged a carriage tour of the town for us and even supplied the carrots to feed Boomer the carriage horse. Great B & B in a fun quirky town.

Room Tip: We loved that they offered rooms with outside entrances, with a semi private balcony for relaxing.
