Spent 5 days at the Addison on Amelia Island and loved it. Room 3 is terrific, comfortable bed, soaking tub and shower, and private porch on the front of the house with a table/chairs, lounge chair to enjoy the day or read a book. The Inn has a lovely front room and indoor breakfast room, but we chose to eat on the covered outdoor porch each day that borders the courtyard and fountain, very peaceful. We typically do not go to the happy hours, but did here, and had fun drinking lovely sparkling wines, appetizers, and getting tips from other guests on activities and restaurants. Bob and Shannon are wonderful hosts, serve delicious breakfasts, and are very accommodating. We used beach chairs and towels from the inn for our beach days, rode the bikes, they have a refrigerator(sodas and water) and snack bar with homemade cookies, chips, fruit available 24/7. Can't imagine staying anywhere else if you are visiting Amelia Island!

Room Tip: Room 3 is lovely, spacious, and has a seating area and gas fireplace. The bathroom has a soaking tu...

We had a great time at The Addison. The owners go over the top with making sure you have a great experience. The rooms were spectacular, breakfast was superb and the service was top shelf. Everyday we were there, we said it felt like we were being spoiled at home. We also enjoyed meeting other guest at happy hour each evening. We had a lot of laughs and got to know a lot about each other.

Overall. Great experience. Can't wait to go back!

Room Tip: All rooms are great

Only a few blocks away from all the shops and restaurants, Addison is close enough but not too close to all the action. Wine & cheese every evening is great. It is a nice opportunity to meet other guests and the wine & cheese selections are quite good. Your hosts are very hospitable & accommodate all your requests. The breakfast every morning is wonderful. Having said that, if you are watching your sugar intake, let them know ahead of time or once you arrive.

Room Tip: #8 has a nice, comfortable balcony at street level to watch the people go by and also a HUGE spa tub...

My husband and I were celebrating our 5yr wedding anniversary and wanted to get away for a quick/ relaxing escape. We booked the Addison at Amelia island based in the reviews and I have to say we were not disappointed! The Addison is a wonderful B&B. the innkeepers are extremely friendly and makes your stay perfect. The inn is beautiful! The inn is extremely clean and we'll maintained. We stayed in room 9 which was awesome. The bed is extremely comfortable and that room had a double head spa shower.....all I can say about that is I want one in my house! The breakfast was so amazing each day! The inn is extremely close to downtown and the marina. We walked everywhere. My husband and I had a great anniversary thanks to everyone at the Addison. Also the island is very relaxing and everyone is so nice. We will definitely visit Amelia Island again and only stay at the Addison! I highly recommend this B&B if you are looking for a great experience.

The Addison was the perfect spot for our Amelia Island getaway. The room was very nice with touches of both modern and historical features, and was nice and clean. The bed was incredibly comfortable. We felt spoiled the entire visit by the innkeepers, housekeeping, and luxurious touches like the bed sheets and towels. Breakfast was amazing each morning, and they always provided drinks, snacks, etc., to keep you fueled throughout the day. (Not to mention a great happy hour on the patio). The location of the inn couldn't be better- within walking distance to everything downtown, and a quick ride to the beach (via car or bike). If you are staying on Amelia Island, the Addison is the place to be!

We stayed at the Addison for three nights as we had never been to this part of Florida and wanted to do the area justice. What a great B&B! It was as nice as The Governor's House in Charlston (although not quite as grand!) with a beautiful room and huge balcony. Bob and Shannon were wonderful hosts. The happy hour on the outside veranda was great fun, catching up with all the other guests and what they had been up to during the day. Breakfasts were wonderful with the sweet mixed with savory so reminiscent of Savanna. The historic buildings all around the Addison were a treat to walk and the little town so sweet. A fantastic place to stay.

Bob, Shannon and Lee know how to do it right. From start to finish, each day's stay out-did the previous. The first night's happy-hour set the tone for what was an enjoyable, relaxed and fun 3-night stay. Bob the Innkeeper is a very engaging and accommodating host. The breakfasts were outrageously delicious - kudos to Shannon. And to top it off, the room was so clean, you could eat off the floor (but we preferred going out to many of the fine restaurants in town). We are looking forward to our return visit to the Addison on Amelia Island.

Room Tip: Our 2nd floor room with its private balcony was thoroughly enjoyed - as it offered a great view of t...
