“Great History”
Reviewed 18 June 2014

This museaum is a fantastic wealth of knowledge of the Amelia Island and Fernandina Beach FL area.
A MUST for your first stop in the historic/beach area. then you will be knowledgable what you are looking at as you browse around the area, and ideas for more to look at ...the Bridge that goes nowhere, the historic cemetart... . Susan gave us a wonderful/interestin Curators tour.
GO..BE Educated...have FUN..ENJOY your visit.

“Nice surprise”

I wasn't expecting much from this museum but was pleasantly surprised. It has very informative displays and an excellent staff who know the history of the area. Plan to spend an hour or two.

This was our first visit to Amelia Island and we stopped here when we first got into town. Well worth the visit. A great history lesson of the area and very friendly people working there.

“Yo-ho!”
Reviewed 6 May 2014

This sweet museum was a bit of a walk from the main area but not really that far. One is able to move from room to room and read the history of the island. A docent is at the main desk to answer any questions and make sure you saw everything! The children's pirate area was great fun even for grown-ups. If a school were to be there, it might get a bit crowded. WE are glad we made the stroll.
