I could have spent 10 hours in this little museum reading everything. Really well done for being a small museum. We were very lucky and were there at the right time when the docent was giving her one hour tour. Docent was very impressive and knew her facts. I learned so much and it was all very interesting. You can tell the docent loves the Island. I would try to go at a time they are giving the hour tour. Highly recommended. The admission is money well spent.

Stopped in here on a hot Saturday afternoon
$ 7 to get in
Museum well done and well kept
Can go through at your own pace though we did enjoy the tour of about an hour's length
Good place to rest for a bit and learn about the area if you're willing to part w/a few dollars

This museaum is a fantastic wealth of knowledge of the Amelia Island and Fernandina Beach FL area.
A MUST for your first stop in the historic/beach area. then you will be knowledgable what you are looking at as you browse around the area, and ideas for more to look at ...the Bridge that goes nowhere, the historic cemetart... . Susan gave us a wonderful/interestin Curators tour.
GO..BE Educated...have FUN..ENJOY your visit.

I wasn't expecting much from this museum but was pleasantly surprised. It has very informative displays and an excellent staff who know the history of the area. Plan to spend an hour or two.
