We ate a late lunch here for the first time since it opened a short time ago. The menu had some amazing choices that you cannot find in many other places on Amelia Island. We both chose the Cuban sandwich which came with a bag of chips and one side dish - we chose the potato salad which was really good and fresh. The Cuban sandwich was amazing - roast mojo pork, sweet ham cheese, mustard on a pressed Pita bread! Other menu items that looked really tempting to us were the smoked meatloaf sandwich, blackened fish sandwich, and a BLT that included jalapeno bacon. We will go back to try those and more soon. They also serve salads and have a very reasonable breakfast menu. This restaurant is run by the same folks who used to run the "Old South Yankee" store and they still have a few of the store items for sale as well. Both the owner and the chef took the time to visit with us and find out what we thought of the food. They have big plans for the near future to expand with beer/wine sales, big screen tv, etc. For now they are making a great new addition to the already varied choices available in our lovely downtown Fernandina area. Highly recommended!
