We had planned on taking the watertaxi that we heard of on-line, but we (and several other potential customers,) got fed up waiting for the watertaxi that never came. They had someone charter the watertaxi that was supposed to pick us up at 10:45, and after waiting and waiting for the boat that never came, I called the phone number I had gotten for them on-line, and found out the boat was NOT coming. Imagine if we had been on the first watertaxi and had gotten off at a stop. We would have had no choice but to wait 1 1/2 hours for the next one. The entire group of people who had been waiting were so disgusted, we all bought tickets for the Riverfront Cruise instead, which had a kiosk near the watertaxi pick-up point. WE were all glad we did. The water taxi is a "bus" on water. You sit in your hard, fiberglass seat. The Riverfront Cruise was a large boat, with air-conditioning, indoor and outdoor seating, where you could get up and walk around if wanted. NOT so on the watertaxi. The trip was 1 1/2 hours and covered the same ground as the watertaxi. Although it did not make stops, we were glad we went this route instead. It was very comfortable, and it was interesting to hear all about the houses and boats we saw along the way. The watertaxi cost was $20 compared to $23 for this. WELL worth it. Why not ride in luxury instead of riding a bus?
