Did not get the chance to even experience this motel. Found online and read some good reviews, called and questioned "Larry" about distance from airport, beach, etc. He instructed us to submit reservation request online, which I did. Since I am used to booking online at the time of, and my travel dates being only 2 weeks away, I wanted to ensure I had a place to stay so I called back to confirm he received my request. "Larry" was incredibly rude with my second call and proceeded to say, "Yes, I received your request, I told you when you first called that there was a room available. I will respond within two days, your request is not till next month and I have more important things I need to do." As an understatement, I was shocked! I did not know how to respond but I just said ok and awaited his reply.
The following night I received the response to my inquiry which said, "Based on our conversation last evening, I don't think we are the right motel for you and are going to pass on your request." Let me be very very clear that in no way did I instigate this response! I was in no way rude or forceful I simply asked if he received my request and what my further steps would be! I have worked in property management for over 5 years and would never dream of speaking to anyone this way let alone someone I am entering into a business transaction with! I have never encountered such unprofessionalism!
Needless to say, I found a motel further south that was of course more expensive but to be honest the generosity of the staff made it well worth it. Also contributing was the assurance that my trip would be positive and not ridden with the negative commentary that I already experienced.
