“EXCELLENT Customer Service”
Reviewed 17 February 2014

I booked the wrong night at the Ramada and Michelle, a Ramada employee, was AMAZING and helped me cancel my original reservation. The hotel was completely booked for the evening that I had hoped to stay at the Ramada, so Michelle went out of her way to help me find a hotel room in the surrounding area. Once we checked into the new hotel, Michelle phoned our room to make sure we had arrived safely. I never had the pleasure to stay at the Ramada, but I would recommend it to anybody due to their AWESOME customer service and willingness to help. Kudos and thank you!

This the hotel that the Bahamas Celebration/Timeshare people make you stay. They claim their is an upgrade, if they offer it to you the day you book your dates, do the upgrade and avoid this hotel.

DO NOT stay on the first floor. The far side from the lobby, on the first floor, smells like cat pee. They had fans and stuff trying to get rid of the smell. It was overwhelming. We stayed on the 5th floor. The A/C worked okay, the television channels are limited. The water was yellow in the bathtub. When I called the front desk with questions, a man with a foreign accent answered the phone and was very abrupt and did not want to assist beyond getting off the phone ASAP. They were in the process of upgrading their WiFi.

The pool area was nice, it has a bar poolside. This may be the best feature of the hotel. Try to avoid eating at the hotel as there are many other options around the hotel.

Friendly staff, especially the Tiki Bar waitress, she is a doll. Hotel itself is just ok. Nice place for a short stay. We stayed a whole week, room didn't get cleaned until end of each day, which was always an interruption to our little schedule. Never left clean towels, always had to call for them. Other items such as coffee/cups had to be requested because staff didn't leave daily. Also had to ask them to change the sheets after the fourth night.....Maid Service definitely needs some assistance, it appears they don't have enough employees or they are poorly Managed. Maids were very nice though and I know they are working hard....So get them some help owner......Food is good there as well....

Room Tip: Out of pocket $106 per day for room so for that you should have something much better.

Although this hotel for us was not the horror that some experienced, it does need quite a bit of work. Very old and tired. Rooms are small, dated furniture and old bathroom. Staff we found to be very friendly and helpful all the time. Buffet meals are adequate but the usual fare. Plenty of food though and most things tasted good. One lunchtime was beef and pork tacos and salad and was tasty. Pool area is lovely and enjoyable to sit out. Location is easy from route 95 and close to shops, although very limited shopping. Expect an adequate room and nothing more.

This hotel should NOT be called the Ramada Plaza Resort. It is FAR from a resort and just a cheap outdated hotel. It is sad that Ramada still has this place in their portfolio. My wife and I were there for 2 nights but not our choice of where to stay. The Real Estate Developer that put us up here lost us as buyers as soon as I saw this hotel. No way to gain new owners of a mediocre resort chain.

Room Tip: Don't even stay here, but if you have to, get a room facing the pool.

Part of a time share deal. In a word, SCAM! Hotel staff, appearance, service were all mediocre. A room maid entered our room without knocking. Pool towels were not available. Rooms were clean, were not maintained to modern standards. "Free breakfast" ended up costing $8. I do not recommend this hotel unless you can stay here for less than $40 per night.
