“Great location!”
Reviewed 27 March 2012

Enjoyed sitting out on our balcony in the early evening watching the boat traffic. The water taxi stops right at the hotel. One stop away is great dining. Unit provided small refrigerator, microwave & dishwasher. Also had in-room safe. Very small outdoor pool. Good pre-cruise location. Good shopping across the street for last minute items.

Staff is very friendly to its guests. However, they were severely understaffed during our stay and promised rooms were not available until very late...5:00 or later. We were upgraded to a waterfront suite because our room was not ready on time. It was a great room. Our traveling companions got their room by 4:00 but no towels were available until 6:00! We were told by staff that college-aged guests had caused damage to some rooms requiring repairs and others required much more time to clean. Might be best to avoid this place during summer break periods if you need an on-time check-in.

Room Tip: Waterfront suite with small balcony was great!

Our visit started with being given a room key to an occupied room. I entered the room to see three startled young children looking at me. I apologized and as I was returning to the elevator, a concerned father came out to question me.. I couldn't blame him. Back down to the lobby to wait 45 minutes for a room after arguing with the manager for 15 minutes as to what constituted a water view room. This place has been in decline ever since they started selling the rooms as condos. The front-desk and management are clueless. The housekeeping is useless .. you may as well clean the room yourself. Our second last day there, we were out of the room from 11 am to 4 pm. We returned to an unclean room. Went out again from 5pm to 11pm and told the front desk on the way out that the room had not been cleaned. Return to an unclean room at 11 pm. The only ones on the ball are the valet staff ... but get your wallet out because they do not allow self parking any more.

Room Tip: Best rooms are numbered "20" (ie: 420, 920, etc.)

Very nice hotel in a great location just steps away from the Galleria Mall and all of the restaurants and the beach and all that goes with that. The rooms are pretty nice equipped with a up to date kitchenette with granite countertops, refrigerator and dishwasher. Flat screen HDTV's with plenty of channels to choose from and there is a good restaurant for breakfast. The pool area is nice as well and there's a good bar and menu for lunch. You can walk to everything - highly recommend.

the staff was welcoming & professional. My one bedroom suite was fully appointed w/ kit.,liv., dining and beautiful large bath.
The Inlet/Ocean view was accessible by 2 balconies.
The hotel felt quite modern & freshly cared for in every regard.
Location is a water taxi stop/ within walking distance of Galleria Mall and many restaurant choices.
As a frequent traveler, I will highly recommend and hopefully return!

This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel - the last time was post cruise and it seemed nice .
This time I felt that some of the decor in the rooms was begining to become a little jaded and worn . However this was more than made up for by the enthusiasm of the staff to help guests,
particularly Ryan on the front desk .
On the night of our arrival , we were upgraded to a river view suite , however as it didnt have a balcony , we declined . He tried very hard to get us one but as the hotel was full we were given a city view , with the promise that he would see what became available , True to his word we were moved on the Sunday into a Riverview/part ocean view, with balcony .
There was a bit of noise from the adjacent tilt bridge but nothing that kept us awake .
During our stay we had several very minor problems and every one of them was resolved by happy to help staff .
Location wise it is great - not on the beach but an easy stroll, as are very good restaurants and the Galleria Mall adjacent . There is also a nice little state park just over the road and well worth a pleasant stroll .
Overall I think this was a good hotel that is suffering slightly from general wear and tear and certainly helpful staff

Room Tip: The ocean/riverview rooms on the end of the bulding can be noisy due to bridge traffic but have stun...

Stayed at the Gallery One for 3 nights and overall this was a good hotel. I am a firm believer in ' you get what you pay for' and you really do. Even though we arrived after 3 our room was not ready. The actual suite was very nice, roomy and the bathroom was very nice. The bed was super comfy. I did not want to leave the bed. Our balcony was large and even though we had the city view it (the noise) did not bother me. The lobby can be busy because the water taxi traffic but unless you sit in the lobby your whole stay its not that bad. The Vue (which is the restauraunt inside the hotel) was very good. They have a really good breakfast buffet for $20..but again you get what you pay for. The mall is very close and so is Publix and CVS. You can take a ten minute walk to the beach or a $5 cab ride..we walked. Housekeeping missed our room and they had to be called to clean our room but when it was time for check out they came very early. The staff was very friendly. Will stay again.
