Something very different for Fort Lauderdale. A small, relaxed hotel run along British lines. We changed our booking from two to three and had to upgrade to a suite. The bedroom was small but the sitting room was generous. However, the sofa bed was thin and uncomfortable though the staff did try to improve this with extra bedding. The staff were pleasant and helpful at all times. We only had dinner once in the hotel restaurant and it was tasty and well cooked but on the pricy side. Great views of the Intracostal Waterway and the Water Taxi will collect and drop off at the door on request. In summary a very good hotel but one for more 'special' occasions.

Fantastic place to be in. And the breakfast was top notch. The beautifully renovated hotel has had a lot of press, and I can see why. It felt posh without pretension. I was glad to have a free copy of the morning newspaper. Foreign people find it difficult to travel in the US I think, but this place was easy to be in.

Room Tip: The rooms are all pretty much cookie cutter, but we were on the ground floor, which I can say was ju...

We were greeted by Eric who offered us a glass of wine while we waited for our room to be ready (we were early) and went out to their beautiful dock in the intercoastal. What a view, and so relaxing. He soon came out and escorted us to our room.

The room was small, as was the bathroom, but just fine because I assure you your time in the room will be short. The amenities were very nice, big in room safe, nicely stocked mini bar.

The treat is the property. All rooms are poolside on two levels. Outside each room is a patio table overlooking the pool and dock. It is so serene you would never know you were steps from the beach and a short cab ride to Las Olas.

We will definitely book a longer stay next time. Really a very nice find...

Room Tip: There is a room on the end overlooking the intercoastal which has a nice private veranda. There are...

Stayed here prior to taking a cruise out of Port Everglades. Came in the late evening. Our taxi driver had no clue where he was but we were able to vector him in using our gps.

A block and a half from the beach. Two story complex with nice rooms which were small but just fine for a couple. Staff greeted us and provided us with a complimentary glass of wine (which we needed after the cab ride).

Nice pool area. They have 24 hour room service. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner to hotel guests (and members?). They also have a wine bar with a good selection. You can have the water taxi pick you up at the back of the complex which is part of the intercoastal system. It arrives on the hour and lasts til 10 PM.

Staff is outstanding. Really felt welcome here and would definitely come back.

Room Tip: The hotel can be hard to find. It's on the s/w corner of NBirch and Sebastion.

a Bahamas feel in FLL. Right on a lovely waterway with watertaxi access. Beautiful setting, excellent service. Room 118 (cabana room) is small but sufficient. Wonderful view from private terrace over pool and waterway. I can only recommend it.

On traveling, my wife and I love to discover small hotels were we can find comfort, privacy and good service. The Pillars is our latest discover. Tucked in a "out of the passer by" street, you have to have the address to find it. A simple entrance hide a very comfortable and well set interior. Rooms are very comfortable and well decorate, with all necessary comforts to make your stay unforgettable. One of the high points is the deck restaurant, excellent for a diner enjoying the sunset. Yes you will be facing west. Cuisine is high standard as well the waiting service.
The front desk staff is absolutely versatile and always attentive. The most important is that you will close enough of the Fort Lauderdale beach front to even walk to the beach but away enough to be in a quiet and peaceful environment.
Definitively this is one of the hotels where we have been that we would like to return.

Room Tip: If you are looking for high privacy take one of the three rooms with private veranda on the 1st floo...
