An amazing weekend at the Pillars Hotel! We stayed in a suite overlooking the pool & courtyard & the Intracoastal waterway. We were there during a private dinner at there secret garden dinner club & wow what a spectacular evening & the food was to die for! 5star rating!!

Just got back from a post business break at a small luxury Hotel in Fort Lauderdale. The Pillars Hotel was a great place to relax and unwind. All the staff were very helpful and the room overlooking the pool was extremely pleasant. We were only there two nights and didn't have a chance to dine in their restaurant but the bar and restaurant was full and veryone looked to be very happy.

I was excited to visit this charming 30's Deco styled boutique hotel, as it was highly recommended by local friends. My original plan was to go to the restaurant for dinner but decided to stay one night in one of their king poolside rooms as well.
Check-in was quick and for the most part self directed in regards to parking on the side street and handling of bags since it is a small boutique hotel with minimumal but professional staff. Room was clean and well stocked with amenities including single serve coffee with Green Mountain brand cups. Only white sugar was provided with no cream. When called to get cream from room service (claims to be 24-hours), there was no answer on several tries. So had to walk to front desk to get it. Small quiet pool and intracoastal dock with covered seating area were just a few feet away from one room which made it feel somewhat private and gave a nice boutique-ish feel. Unfortunately the weather did not cooperate which did not allow to fully enjoy the pool. No spa services or facility on premise but private in-room massage was offered. One disappointment was the humidity in the room, which covered the floors and sheets and just about everything in the room with a layer of moisture.
Complimentary drink was available upon check in, to be enjoyed at the small bar or seating area which felt like a 1930's home, complete with a harp (for decoration only) in the corner. A piano would have suited the room better, with some jazz later in the evening, but did hear that the hotel sponsors different events throughout the season which may include entertainment.
Staff friendly and attentive. Dinner was pleasant but nothing special.
Overall a nice visit but not a 4 or 5-star experience that would be expected considering the nightly rate (mid 300's) and the strong recommendation. Since it is one block off the beach and many restaurants and bars within a few minutes walk, it is a unique and quiet place to stay.

Must stay hotel in Ft Lauderdale. Location on Intercoastal is priceless with a small number of rooms. In addition to the beautiful suites, they have a beautiful pool area and seating and dinning on their dock overlooking the intercoastal.

For as much or as little relaxation you desire, you cannot do better than this quiet little boutique hotel with easy access to Fort Lauderdale Beach. Unobtrusive service cheerfully delivered and a top drawer (private) restaurant on the premises make for a memorable stay.
