We are sorry you didn't have fun on our ghost tour.
Our ghost tour is geared for all ages. I do remember you and you dropped out after 2-3 locations.
During that time we had 30 minutes of history of the Stranahan House, so I'm not understanding you stating lack of history. My tour has been approved by the Stranahan House and the Historical Society of Fort Lauderdale and we been rated one of the top ten ghost tour on the "Best List" of CBS Miami Florida.
You might consider going on a shorter tour like our Fire Station tour, which is best for those with limited attention spans or for those who are too old to walk the 5 block distance.

“Fascinating and Fun Ghost Tour of Las Olas Blvd area.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 May 2012

I agree with the previous review. Be sure to wear comfy shoes and to bring bottled water for rehydration. It's a great way to walk off your dinner. Our guide, the engaging John Carr, took us on a fascinating history tour of the Las Olas Blvd area. Along the way, we may have seen a few paranormal sightings in the form of blinking lights and billowing curtains ... I'll leave it up to you to believe or not. At many of the stops, he shared audio recordings and photos of supposed hauntings. However, I have to admit that some of these recordings and photos weren't very convincing. Still, you don't need to be a believer of the paranormal to have a good time. Worth the 20 bucks.

“Great walking tour of Las Olas Blvd history, ghosts and nightlife advice.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 October 2011

If you are in to history, ghosts, and exploring, this is the tour for you. Take note, this is definitely a walking tour, so comfy shoes are a must. I know it's tempting to wear your spiked heels and go out to one of the many clubs on Las Olas afterward, but do yourself a favor and keep your party shoes in the car for later.

First off, you'll make your reservations with John (sp?) over the phone. Make sure you ask him where to park- really invaluable because street parking is dicey at best, and there are a lot of one way streets, so take notes on how to get to the parking lot. If you get there an hour or two before tour time, you can go out to dinner, get a gelato, or head towards the high end boutiques and pass the time before you meet up with everybody. Lots of fun. The tour itself meets on the corner in front of the Cheesecake Factory. John was wearing a black tour shirt when we went.

The tour cost us $20 a person, which I thought was pretty appropriate. I had no idea Fort Lauderdale had such a colorful history, but I should have known. Great stories that really highlight past and recent history, lots of them featuring ghosts and some featuring celebrities and notorious villains, make it well worth it. He even told us what to expect from the night clubs we walked by. I've been on ghost tours in Chicago and Old Town Alexandria, and this was just as fun. Throw in Las Olas and you have a great night out.

Make sure you take a digital camera with you, and doubly make sure you wear comfy shoes. You do get opportunities to sit and listen, but seriously wear comfy shoes!
