What a great treat!

We went on a 60 minute "Segway Tour" of the whole State Park that it was simply amazing. I never knew about all the small enclaves, walking routes or history that we able to go and actually experience (a great photo shoot).

It was a great surprise because I didn't know this park existed all these years. Entry fee was only $6.00 per vehicle (all day) and there was ample parking. There was plenty to see, our tour guide was well versed on all the side trails, roadways and being able to ride your own Segway was an experience in itself. In addition to all the natural / historical references and wild life (Gopher Tortoise's, Ibis's, Manatee's, and Dolphin's) that we where able to see in such a small amount of time. (...it could be we were at the right place, at the right time, to see all of these animals)

They even have access to the public beaches via a small underground tunnel so you do not have to deal with crossing the A!A traffic. (the gate access closes at 5:00pm)

I definitely suggest checking out this park and take the "Segway" tour with either you and your partner or a group of friends (great to take your out-of-town guests) to enjoy something out of the ordinary.

Even if you need to find parking for the North Ft. Lauderdale Beaches, it's a bargain because the public parking meters are $1.75/hour. ~ Remember that the park closes at 7:30pm EDT.

Cheers!

Who knew? Beautiful vegetation, an opportunity to ride your bike or have a picnic right on the intracoastal waterway- in the heart of FortLauderdale. Then walk through the tunnel under A1A to the beach. And all of this for $6

Great park with ample parking and the cost is only $6.

Excellent walking trails and views of the intercostal waterway and the million dollar homes.

It is a park used by families at the weekend for picnics and barbeques.

Access is available from the park via an underpass to the beach.

I love this park! The park is 2.25 miles around. I ride my bike there, jog, and you can sit by the inter coastal and picnic in the shade or sun and watch all the yachts go by. Very peaceful. A good peaceful getaway to relax! a playground for the kids. A fee to get in but so much worth it. A safe place to go. You can park your car in the park and walk right across the road to the beach.
