In our 2 week Florida extravaganza starting in Tampa down the the keys and up to ft lauderdale this is my favourite hotel. It is a lovely design very calm and tranquil! Very well situated for the beach, also you can walk to The Gallery mall and Publix supermarket. Parking is excellent right outside. The room was spacious with a little kitchen. The outside pool area was clean and comfortable. I would definitely return and recommend this hotel.

My family and I stayed here for 4 nights during Thanksgiving 2013. This newly opened property was decorated very nicely, with contemporary furnishings ( most are from Ikea) the rooms are large, with a full size "living" area with couches, tv, and coffee table. Also has a kitchen stocked with dishes, toaster, microwave, utensils etc...and a dining table that seats 4. Bed was comfy, linens clean and crisp.TVs new and worked great (1 in living area and 1 by the bed) Although it was a little too chilly for me to swim while we were there, our 8 year old braved the chilly water and enjoyed the pool in front of our room complete with waterfall. (there is also another pool at the front of the hotel that some were lounging by and soaking up the sun.) Plenty of comfortable lounge chairs at the pool and each room has a small table and 2 chairs for relaxing outside your room. The staff was amazing, from the check in to check out. Just about a 2 block walk to Ft Lauderdale beach, and a bit further down some restaurants and bars. There were only a few hiccups during our stay, but didn't want to deduct a star because we really did love this hotel. Ill list them here:
1. The WiFi really sucked and didn't work the whole time we were there. Luckily our phones have unlimited data.
2. The sinktop in the bathroom is very small, so you cant really leave anything on the counter. While there is a small shelf high on the opposite wall, (Our daughter couldn't reach her toothbrush without our help) a wall shelf by the sink would be helpful.
3. There were very few outlets in the room for charging electronics. I would recommend bringing a power strip unless you want to have to do what I did, which is charge phone by the foot of the bed, laptop in dining area, and ipad in kitchen.

Room Tip: All rooms look out over the pool and it is on a very quiet street, so you can't really go wrong...

Catherine B,
Thanks so much for your review. With room types that include full kitchens, you could have cooked our Thanksgiving dinner right at the hotel! We appreciate your feedback and will definitely look into ways to improve on those items. We hope that you can come visit us again sometime, we'd love to have you! Thanks, NBV

I met up with a US friend after a 14 day cruise and found the staff to be most helpful and went out of their way to accommodate your needs. There was a bit of a mix up with the booking (not by Tranquilo - an online accommodation booking site) and the staff went out of their way to accommodate us and managed to fix the mistake.

The rooms are large with comfortable lounge furniture, 2 flat screen TVs, a really nicely equipped kitchen, along with good linens. The property is clean and well maintained and is so much more appealing than "just another" highrise hotel where you have hundreds coming and going.

There's a couple of nice pools with sun loungers and beach towels. The hotel is a good location for anyone wanting to be near the beach, cafes and within walking distance to Galleria.

If I ever went back to Fort Lauderdale I would be very happy staying at Tranquilo.

Room Tip: There are no lifts so if you have a mobility problem I'd ask for a ground floor room. I only li...

We were supposed to stay for one night and ended up staying 2 nights before the cruise and coming back after the cruise for one more day.We didn't spend much time in our room though it was spacious and comfortable with kitchen and a small cosy pool outside.
The staff is awesome and they will make their best to make your wishes come true.Parking is free outside the hotel. The beach is just 5 minute walking.
We spent one entire day at Sawgrass Mills Outlet just a few miles away by car and another visiting the museum and gardens( bonnet museum) the then the city by taxi-boat.
When we first arrived I was not well impressed with the street and surroundings, kind of deserted but I soon changed my mind and I will definitely come again.

Room Tip: If you're travelling with luggage it´s better to stay next to the pool. We tayed there twice in...

Maybe next time you can skip the cruise and spend your vacation with us! Thanks so much for choosing Tranquilo. You're right, the location is great. Just minutes away from the beach, you can wake up to the ocean every morning! There are a lot of great shops nearby and with room choices that include one bedroom suites with full kitchens, it's easy to stay for an extended period of time. We're looking forward to your next visit! Thanks, Maryam

I come to FLL for business once a quarter and I now stay at this recently opened property.
Rooms are spacious, some have a small kitchen. Just a block walk from the beach.
Property ground is very clean, and staff is awesome. Highly recommended!

I was a bit concerned when we walked down the street. Boy was I wrong on my first thoughts. Very nice unit and was equipped with everything we would need for a short or long visit. I even said I could stay here for the entire winter. Very nice and the staff were wonderful. Great area of town that is redeveloping and so close to the beach. Room 100 was great.

Good location, especially for us who arrived on a late flight and spent the entire next day at Sawgrass Mills Outlet. We stayed for two nights and the only time we spent in our room was to sleep.
Parking is free outside the hotel. Wi-Fi is also free, but for some reason you can only use one device at a time.
The room was large and with two spacious and comfortable beds. There was a kitchen/dining area and even two TV-sets.
Otherwise, location of the hotel seems a bit off. It probably suits those who want a peaceful location and want to stay close to the beach (the beach is within walking distance and the hotel has two pools to choose from).

Anra500,
We're happy that we could warm you up from the Swedish winter! Thanks for mentioning the location. Tranquilo is just minutes from the shops, restaurants and the ocean but tucked far enough away from the noise, allowing guests a peaceful relaxing stay! Thanks so much for your review.
