“Mermaids!?!”
Reviewed 9 May 2014

Where else will you see Mermaids LIVE? OK, there is Weeki Wachee Springs in Florida also. But where else can you eat a burger and a beer while you watch said mermaids!?!
Well, OK, there is the Sip n Dip in Great Falls, Montana, and new ones in Sacramento and Las Vegas.
Anyways, The Yankee Clipper Wreck Bar mermaid show on Friday and Saturday is incredible. Get there early in order to get your food. Otherwise it sells out and is a mad house and you won't get your food until the show ends!!

“been to the sheraton twice....”
Reviewed 9 April 2014

there is never anyone in the bar except on mermaid night--i mean no one----i guess its just too dark in there despite what i think is a cool setup with numerous fish tanks and the ability to look at swimmers in one of the pools--maybe that creeps people out...if the food comes from the sheraton pool bar than its above average---advertise more!!!!!!

“Beautiful Mermaids ..... very kitsch-y”
Reviewed 28 February 2014

It's a free kitschy thing to do when visiting Ft. Lauderdale. In the Sheraton, which happens to look like a docked luxury cruiser (a perfect example of nautical art deco), is a small bar decorated like a boat's galley. We got there at 5:30 for the 6:30 show. We wanted to get a front row seat at the bar. By 6:00 seats started filling up and by 6:30 it was SRO. Sitting at the bar, you can view the mermaids through glass windows that look into the outside swimming pool. The beautiful different colored-tailed mermaids with their shelled tops and long flowing hair will surely delight you and have you believing that these underwater beauties DO exist!!!!

“Mermaid Show at the Wreck Bar in the Sheraton”
Reviewed 27 October 2013

I have waited all of my life to see the Mermaids perform at the Wreck Bar. I am a die hard fan of the movie "Where the Boys Are". This is where the original mermaids were filmed back in the 1960's. The shows are presented on Friday and Saturday nights at 6:30. We arrived around 5:30 P.M. And found one table left. There were individual seats set up that filled up quickly. There is no cover charge and food and drinks are available to order. The show began on time with 2 mermaids and a pearl diver. Usually there are more mermaids, but some conflict with their schedule that night. They performed for about 40 minutes by charming the audience with flirtatious swimming and photo ops. After the show, you can go upstairs to the top of the swimming pool to have your picture taken with the beautiful girls. We did tip them for their performace. Be sure and take a camera! There were quite a few children at the show that were very well behaved and entertained. We were not disappointed and would love to go back when all of the mermaids are at the Wreck Bar.
