“Great Bar and Specials”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 July 2014

Great Sports bar with tasty specials at great prices. I went on a Monday lunch where 1.5 rack of ribs were $10.99. Fall off the bone tasty with fries and cole slaw. Just a nice big open atmosphere, relaxed casual dining. Sat at the bar to dine.

“Great steak for a low price”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 July 2014

I walked next door from my hotel to the Fort Lauderdale Ale House for supper. I had a substantial rib-eye steak dinner with shrimp scampi, plenty of sides, iced tea, and an apple dessert for less than $25. Great food, nice “sports grill” surroundings, tv monitors everywhere, good service, all in all a hit and right next door to the Oakland Park BW.

“Something for Everyone!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 July 2014

This is my son's favorite restaurant in Fort Lauderdale. The menu options range from salads and sandwiches to full dinners and dessert. They also have a great happy hour and nightly specials. This visit my husband and I had the Rib Special- a full rack for $10.99. It includes one side and a garnish of cole slaw. Even with an add on salad and an up charge to load a baked potato, it was an excellent value. The ribs were meaty and juicy with just the right amount of tang in the sauce. Both the Caesar Salad and Garden Salad were generous in size. My son was pleased with the Jambalaya he ordered and his girlfriend enjoyed her Chicken Caesar salad. All in all a very satisfying experience.

“Good atmosphere - Busy”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 May 2014

The bar was busy. Frequent sponsored drink special. Bar staff were attentive, if not jaded by their work experience. Sincerity wa lacking. Food menu is large but generic. Could have been any generic sports bar anywhere. Presentation for the 4 times I have been has always been bad. Clearly the line cooks are assembling food as quickly as possible to a formula. Steak was rubbery. On the plus side, portions are large. A pork shank special was too big to finish.
Beer is mostly big name generic stuff with a few (hardly) "micro-brews" thrown in. All beer via major distributors, despite branding.

“Just Needed FOOD”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 April 2014

We were staying in the area overnight for a flight to Freeport and knew nothing about where we were. The hotel suggested several restaurants and we decided to hit this one. Decent and we wound up going back when we came back from our flight. Both times just OK. I would call it a sports bar type of place. We would go back. Good wait staff both times. decent prices, VERY loud and hard to have a conversation if you are there at prime time.
