Fun place to go after a day on the beach. Usually lots going on to keep you occupied. Not quite what it used to be but still worth checking out.

We went here pre cruise and loved the live band and dancing. Beers not too expensive but warning they are cash only! We would go here again!

Always one of my favs. Growing up in Fort Lauderdale, I always knew about the Famous Elbo Room being in the movie "Where The Boys Are". Being in the Spring Break capital, this bar remains true to what a REAL fort Lauderdale bar feels and looks like. Not sure about the other reviews all talking about bad service, but it only takes one crappy bartender to ruin an impression. I have never had anything but fantastic service, esp from Kat at the front bar. they have the best location (Las Olas and A1A) and live music. Fun locals and tourist combine to make a fun atmosphere. it is a beach bar... Somewhere you go in a bathing suit, so don't expect it to be anything fancy. just a great fun bar on the beach that has some great history.

Don't bother sitting at the bar if your thirsty, wait staff is in no hurry to serve anybody. The location was good, few doors down from an awesome pizzia place
