Sun Tower Hotel & Suites
Certificate of Excellence

We stayed at the SunTower in March 2011 and the place is awesome. The 3rd floor suite was clean and spacious, we had more than enough room for the 2 of us and could have easily fit the kids, had they been invited :-) There were 2 TVs, living area, dining area and a kitchen with a fridge, microwave, and sink. The beach was literally right outside the gates, and there was food/drink service available on the beach. There was never any problem getting chairs on the beach, no matter what time we headed out. The cafe was nice and everything we ate was pretty good and reasonably priced. Staff was friendly and willing to answer any questions we had about the area. The pool was heated and stayed open all night. We also had no issue with parking (which was FREE). Even if all the spots were taken, we would just leave the keys at the front desk and they took care of it for us. I wish we could’ve stayed longer, but believe we will definitely be staying here next time we head to FLL!

This hotel has wonderful staff, bar and grille, excellent location, clean, clean everywhere. No smells at all. Completely free of any odors. The view was breathtaking. Our needs were met promptly and with a smile. Very quiet peaceful atmosphere. If you love to stay up late and make lots of noise this is not the place for you. Great for multi generational family vacation. I saw other larger hotels and thought of the noise and crowded grounds. This place has approx. 26-28 units. 10 steps to the elevator 60 steps to the sand 30 steps to the water. Amanda does a great job checking in and out. Very smooth. Would return in a heartbeat. I did not even hear traffic at night.. A great time was had by all.

We stayed one night at the end of our vacation in order to be reasonably close to the airport and still on the beach. The customer service was great. The beach was lovely. The staff even parked our car for us. The hotel itself is not new but adequate. The room included a fridge. We would go back and recommend friends. I read a new review that commented about bugs. I never saw any bugs but we leave take precautions after every vacation anyway.

Very nice small hotel...beachfront, quiet, clean, staff friendly, very helpful, working hard to improve even more, has a nice restaurant/bar for all three meals, prices reasonable, would stay here again without question.

We were booked to stay here in November of 2010. Got home at night and went to the bathroom. When I turned on the light, I saw a roach running on the sink. I told my wife and she check her makeup bags on the sink. Another roach came running out of the bag. When we told the staff we were leaving, they were very rude. They stated that the bugs were there because it was Florida. I have stayed in Florida many times, and have never encountered roaches. Instead of just letting us leave, they were very rude to us.

This quaint little place was lovely. The weather did not cooperate, but every person we ran across that worked for Sun Tower went over and above in courtesy, friendliness, and kindness. The Sandbar and Grille had GREAT food and drinks and a great staff. We caught the last few minutes of happy hour. We had dinner and breakfast there. Our room overlooking the ocean was breathtaking. Sincere courtesy, friendliness, and eagerness to help is just not found many places. Thanks to Hippie Mike, the morning waitress who shared hazelnut creamer with me, and the front desk and housekeepers. You are an impressive team and made us feel like we belonged. We actually were just staying here one night to board a cruise ship the following day, but it would have been a lovely retreat in and of itself. This property should hold its head high in comparison to the big chains and luxury spots surrounding it! :)

This is our second trip to the Sun Tower in two years. We didn't even consider or look for another hotel when we decided to spend a few days in Fort Lauderdale this year. If you are looking for a smaller hotel, this is the place to stay. It has everything you are looking for: all large ocean-front rooms or suites, comfortable beds, kitchenettes, pool, laundry, restaurant/bar, large patio around the pool as well as a large ocean-front patio by the restaurant. Good food, cold beer and most of all a very friendly staff! We enjoyed our stay very much this year, it was very hard for us to leave.
We look forward to returning next year, (and we just might bring some crazy relatives with, so beware!). See everyone after (and maybe before too...ha, ha) the Daytona 500!
