“Nice, almost perfect”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 August 2012

Rooms with kitchen, and you can really cook hear. No reason to do, there are a lot of nice restaurants within walking distance. The room elegant, comfotable bed, nice balcony. They have a no smoking policy, which where not respected by some guest, a guess you cant blame the hotel. About one hour after our checkin, someone opened the door to our room, and left quickly. Some minutes later they called me from the frontdesk and asked if I where another person. I said no, and they asked for my name. Some mixup I guess, but not very comforting. (They appoigised) Apart from this little misshap, very good service, friendly, helpfull staff. The pool was ok, a little noicy from A/c fans on the wall. The reason I did not give full score.

Room Tip: Choose room westwards, to the east see the sea, but the parking is not to nice.

THis is the 1st time I have ever gone home with clean clothes! Compact washer and dryer in the room wiht detergent and dryer sheets, nice sized bathroom, separated by a wall for the toilet, make-up mirror, hair dryer--galley kitchen: full size fridge (working), 2 burner stove top, MICROWAVE, garbage disposal, coffee pot and coffee, paper cups to take coffee, dishes, utensils, can opener in drawer, paper towels, DISHWASHER----table and chairs, sofa, comfortable bed, balcony---I had the beach view which I thought was great; LED TV----beautiful lobby w/Dale Chihuly chandeliers (3)---small bar area---good music in the elevator---what looked like a great italian restaurant (not enought ime to enjoy), 33rd and dine was closed b/c it was summer, but Pane y Dolce is very close by.....Walgreens down the street, as are alot of other hotels....The only thing I didn't like is that there was no night life--it was verrry quiet at night....

Room Tip: I thought the beach view was fine......

Amazing suites!!! The views from our oversized balcony were wonderful. The service was impeccable with great amenties. Also, the hotel's restaurant is amazing - definitely a must even if you do not stay at the hotel. The location is only 5-10 minutes from 1-95 making the hotel accessible to all of Ft. Laudersale and Miami.

Room Tip: The full suites are not much more than a junior suite and provide a much bigger suite - master is se...

We booked a quick trip to Florida and at the last minute I tired to find a hotel for one evening in Ft. Lauderdale. I picked this hotel mainly because of the price and availability. We usually stay at the Hilton, but it was booked. I chose this hotel thinking it would be a little closer to the beach. When we drove to the hotel, i became a little disappointed about how far it was from the beach, but when we walked into the room, the location meant so little. We walked to the beach which was closest to the hotel and it was just lovely. It was away from the main route and it was so clear and beautiful. The view of the intercoastal highway was beautiful and the room was amazing. The balcony was huge and I enjoyed watching the boats go out in the morning from the balcony. If you have kids that want to go the beach quite a bit, this might be a bit far, but if you like a great place stay and still be able to go to the beach from time to time, pick this location. The pool was unique, with great chairs and cabanas that you did not have to reserve or pay extra to enjoy.

We stayed here from July 21 to the 28th. We just got back and what a wonderful time we had. The hotel is BEAUTIFUL, VERY clean everything you can expect from a 5 star that's why i'm surprised its rated only a 4. The staff is very friendly and helpful starting off with Josalyn Rodriguez who helped me with setting up a pick-up and drop off to and from the airport. To Ana at the front desk the day that we arrived to maryanne who was very helpful with getting us a car rental and answering any questions we may have had. The restaurant staff starting from sunday the 22 right up to the 28 who worked during the breakfast hours ( we were always there between 8-8:30 am) were amazing all of them. The house keeping staff did a great job as well everytime we passed one of them in the hallway the ALWAYS greeted us with a hello. The bell boys/doormen also did an amazing job I was really impressed with this service. You are in good walking distance of everything we travelled with small children ages 4 and 6 and were able to walk to the nearby stores, the beach is also not far away but if you drive further up you will find nicer beach areas. Lauderdale by the sea was a beautiful spot.
My only concern was the day we arrived our flight got in at 11:00 am and when we got to the hotel our rooms were not ready and with the children it was very difficult they were hungry and tired and there was a mix up with our rooms so we ended waiting a few hours before we got our them. None the less this would not stop me from returning I would go back in a heart beat!! You don't have to think twice about staying here cause you will NOT be disappointed!!

My wife and I stayed in this hotel for 5 wonderful nights a few weeks ago. It is fantastic.

Pros:
1. The rooms are beautiful. Every room has a full kitchen, washer/dryer, and private balcony. We were in a Lugano suite on the corner of the building so we had two balconies with great views of the ocean and the intercoastal waterway. The room had two TVs, a nice couch, a dining table, and a very comfortable bed. The room was very clean and housekeeping did a great job.

2. Location. Some other reviewers were disappointed with the location being about 3 blocks from the ocean. I respectfully disagree, I think it was way more interesting to be on the intercoastal waterway with a view of the homes and yachts cruising by. The beach was a 5-10 minute walk. There is a Walgreens and several other restaurants within walking distance and the water taxi is only about 4 minutes away (it will drop you off directly at the hotel, though).

3. Staff. Amazing staff. The concierge, Ana, is amazing. The bell guys are wonderful, and housekeeping did a great job. The host at the restaurant when we were there for lunch was awesome and answered so many questions about the area for us. Every time we interacted with the staff, they seemed eager to please us and were very helpful.

4. Amenities. The lounge chairs on the waterway were a great place to relax and watch boats while enjoying a soothing beverage. The hotel uses and escalade to give rides anywhere you want to go within a 3 mile radius. They will even pick you up when you're done shopping or eating. You can get pots and pans to use in the otherwise fully stocked kitchen (there isn't an oven, though, so if you wanted to bake something, no dice).

5. Restaurant. The restaurant is awesome. We ate there for lunch and the pizza and sandwiches are delicious. There is a great view of the intercoastal and the staff is very friendly and attentive.

Cons
1. For whatever reason our room was skipped for turn down service every night. I don't know if they stopped doing it or if it was an unfortunate oversight, but that was somewhat disappointing. Such a minor thing that it didn't bother me much, but I wanted chocolates!!

2. One of the ladies working the front desk was noticeably less helpful and eager to serve than the rest of the staff. Only one out of the entire bunch is still a pretty good record for the hotel, so no big deal.

3. The pool is kind of average, but it's very clean. There aren't really any views from it, but that's ok because the ocean is only about 5 minutes away.

4. The guest below me didn't respect the "no smoking on balconies" rule, which isn't a fault of the hotels and I didn't report them. If it bothers you, I'm assuming a call to the front desk would likely resolve the situation.

Summary: Awesome hotel. VERY CLEAN. Outstanding staff. Good location.

Room Tip: Upgrade to the Lugano Suite. It is worth it and the corner location gives great view of ocean and in...

A late check in was "no Problem." The prices can be very high, to reasonable...depending on the time of year. I have stayed here in high, and low season. Both times were comfortable, and welcoming. The workout room has a beautiful view, and the pool is secluded and inviting.

Room Tip: Intercoastal view is gorgeous
