We stayed here for 5 nights in late December/early January. The hotel as others have stated is a converted condominium building (although there are still condo units as well). This meant that the units were spacious and better yet silent. There was no outside noise in the unit or hallways. Other reviewers have commented about the lovely views of the waterway, but we had a balcony facing the ocean which was also great. On New Year's Eve there were a series of fireworks too that we saw from the balcony.
Breakfast is your typical Marriott variety, with the exception that there were slight changes to the hot offerings and fruit everyday. We never found it busy, but that may also be because we are relatively earlier risers. The lemon water was also a nice touch. The valet parking was also quick and easy to use. The beach was a short walk and the only danger is the extremely good Italian gelato place you pass on the way. That and the Walgreen's has ridiculous prices.

Two small critiques. First it was not clear where to get get towels for the pool. We finally realized that towels were available by realizing many people had similiar towels...then the next day we discovered they were given out and returned to the front desk. It would have been nice to have been told this. Secondly the pool has way too much chlorine! I am surprised they have not switched to salt water. 5 nights staying at the hotel damaged all of our bathing suits (good quality ones). My one daughter had a patterned suit and by the end of the stay it looked mostly white. Hopefully management is looking at a conversion to a salt water system. Despite this the location for the pool and lounge area was beautiful, overlooking the waterway so you could "window shop" for your multi-million dollar yacht.

Lots of small little restaurants in walking distance. We tried one for pizza and it was just ok. The Italian bakery and gelato place we went to twice!

This beautiful property is situated on the Intracoastal Waterway and has a beautiful view. We were capably assisted by Jonathan, who helped us check in early into a gorgeous suite with a breathtaking view. I must also mention the impressive Chuhuly piece in the lobby.

Room Tip: Ask for water side.

My boyfriend and I had the pleasure of staying here for three nights while celebrating his birthday, before heading to South Beach. We enjoyed the spacious suite with kitchen and separate bedroom. We had beautiful views of the intracostal waterway from the large balcony. We walked in the mornings along the pathway leading to Lauderdale by the Sea.
There were many restaurants to choose from within walking distance or a short drive. The included breakfast buffet at the hotel was also very convenient and much appreciated.

This restaurant is a hidden gem in the Residence Inn. I recently had dinner there, I had the muscles fra diavolo and the salmon. Cooked to perfection, with incredible favors. Our server was great, we were not rushed at all while we watched the boats go by on the Intercoastal. Chef Mark is extremely talented and creative. Find your way to this hidden gem.

We were fortunate enough to have a one month stay. We return to this hotel cause we loved it and still do! Staying 30 days gave us a special rate.We had a beautiful suite on the intercoastal. Special thanks to Aniko for taking care of our reservations. And thanks to Jonathan for a quick and easy check in. All the staff here are amazing. Especially the attendants that work for the valet parking! The breakfast hot and cold is served in the beautiful restaurant with the intercoastal view and has plenty of choices. Yes the pool is always in the shade but heated. Beach in walking distance. I have absolutely no complaints of this hotel and will certainly return! Highly recomended.

Room Tip: Intercoastal view
