We were looking forward to our stay in the oceanfront hotel. The shopping cart and garbage in the corridor on the ninth floor was a bad start! Our room was bigger than expected and had a kitchenette. There was water all over kitchen floor from a leaking refrigerator and we had to get towels from reception to mop it up ourselves after maintenance failed to fix problem.
Needed towels for bathroom as not sufficient. No bathmat. No face clothes ever.
Bath paint peeling off in tub.Kitchen stuffed with dishes etc of "owners" but nothing provided for use such as dish towel.HBO schedule left in room but not on TV Comcast notice says interruption / call for service.Additional items in unit such as shutters stored behind sofa,tv stand and microwave in closets. Generally needed decorating and thorough cleaning.
Pool restroom was dreadful and broken door. High point: Tokyo Blue Restaurant (only open for dinner)but that does not belong to the Hotel.
This resort is part residential and it seems they rent out owners rooms as hotel rooms and you have no choice in what you get - or that is what we were told at reception.

Room Tip: You don't get a choice!

The web page shows a beautiful hotel, truth is, the hotel is old and run down. Dead bugs in the light fixtures, old bedding, dingy and creepy.

If I hadn't arrived at midnight, I would have turned around and walked out the door. Slept in my clothes and checked out at 8:25 am . Oncean Manor Resort Hotel nor Guestsmile.com/hotelplus will refund me for the two nights that I refused to stay due to unsatisfactory conditions.

We arrived at this hotel to drunks in front fighting! Should of been the first clue!!! Our room was dirty, industrial toilet also dirty, broken bathroom door, the dressers had big chunks out of them. The bed uncomfortable. when you lay in it and roll toward the center. No coffee pot in room or lobby unless you want to pay for it , and the girl working the coffee bar was lazy and acted like it was an inconvenience to make it. I would never stay at this hotel nor would I recommend it to anyone.

I stayed here back in October for 5 nights. We're on a very limited budget, so I was a little skeptical after reading the reviews, but it was an oceanfront resort and had a pool, so I decided to take a chance. I got there early, but the guy at the front desk was really nice and was able to get us into a room. I was still very concerned, but when we got to our room, it was a really great size and was really clean. A little outdated, but it was comfortable and it's not like we were planning on living there, so it being a little outdated didn't make a difference to us. We unpacked our things and went down to explore the resort. There were two restaurants, which were right near the pool area (which also has a tiki bar). We spent the next 4 days of our trip playing on the beach and in the pool. One of the restaurants becomes a nightclub at night and we went in for a few hours. The atmosphere was fun and upbeat, everyone was nice and we didn't have anything bad happen. We will definitely be going back! I talked a little bit to the front desk and they're in the process of renovating a lot of the rooms, so we're looking forward to our next trip! Don't always believe what you read. This hotel is priced right for what you get. The other hotels in the same area are $95 a night or more, and I paid $69 a night on expedia. It wasn't the ritz carlton, but it was just what we needed for our vacation.

I've stayed at this hotel twice during the Christmas Holiday season and love that it's right on the ocean, with a nice pool and amazing Tiki Bar. Both times I've had rooms facing inland, which are less expensive. The rooms are OK, nothing luxurious. They are spacious and the first year there was even a kitchenette in the room. Sure the towels are not lush, the TV's are not flat screen, the bed is satisfactory, but for the price, it's expected. I like that you have a choice of self park or valet. Since we tend to come and go quite a bit; self park saves some money. The hotel is pet-friendly. The staff is helpful. There is a cute little outdoor cafe near the pool that serves a nice breakfast. I've already booked my accommodations for December 2011.

My husband and I recently returned from an amazing vacation in the Pugliano’s beachfront condo (listing #47165 on vrbo.com). We stayed in September 2011 and we had a FANTASTIC time! We had been to the Ocean Manor twice before but it had been 10 years since our last stay. Reading the bad reviews on the Tripadvisor website made us think twice before booking a room. We knew that booking directly through an owner was the way to go and after looking at the advertisements on vrbo.com and homeaway.com and speaking directly with more than one owner, we decided to give The Ocean Manor another try and we are SO GLAD we did! This is a relaxing, laid-back hotel with the best Tiki Bar on the beach, a clean and non-crowded pool and an excellent poolside grill. They also have a more upscale indoor restaurant but we never made it to that one. The food from the outdoor grill is great and we HIGHLY recommend the Meatball and Ricotta Cheese pizza; in fact we had several while we were there! And don’t miss out on the grouper sandwich or the pancakes because they were great too! During this trip, we stayed in 2 different units and making the move to the Pugliano’s oceanfront unit was well worth the move! Working with Diane was easy and we even had the opportunity to spend an afternoon at the Tiki Bar with her and her husband John while we were there – very nice people. More importantly, I cannot say enough about how NICE, CLEAN, SPACIOUS and COMFORTABLE their condo was. The views are absolutely stunning and they have all of the comforts necessary to make you feel like you are staying in your own home; only with much better views and the convenience of a beachfront hotel! In talking with people while we were there, we were told that The Ocean Manor Resort has made many improvements over the last 10 years. For us, it was just the perfect place to stay and we really did have a wonderful time. The Pier is within walking distance of this hotel, in fact it makes a great beach walk, and has plenty of souvenir shops and restaurants. Don’t listen to the naysayers on tripadvisor.com! Book with an owner you can trust and you will be glad you did. We will definitely be back next year!!!

Room Tip: Use vrbo.com and homeaway.com. Talk with the different owners on the phone. You will be able to te...

We are a family of three, two adults a teenager and have been many times to Florida
Pre-booked this accommodation prior to our holiday, and what a mistake
Parking was a extra $7 per day, ,the guys park your car and collect it
Room 1,The curtains not only covered the windows, but also trailed right across the floor, and the wind was blowing via the patio doors, which would not close properly.
Room 2 -Curtains fitted, however when we moved the curtain back , water was coming through the window and forming a pool of water on floor ( raining heavy)
Room 3,One of there best and shall we say, the curtains fitted and we did not have a leak.
We had booked 3 nights, and stayed two, enough is enough, this was our family holiday
We complained to the main reception, but to no avail, they kept saying they don't do refunds,
This was the worst place, as a family we have ever stayed
The hotel may have changed, and it would be interesting to know, although I wont be visiting

Room Tip: Do not pre-book, check out first, some people thought it was good?
