Rooms are small and gritty, appliances old and decrepit, location is uber ghetto, and so is the population at the hotel. Nice views but our balcony doesn't even open. Feels trapped and hot. Look elsewhere people.

It was sad that I was told a 1 bedroom, 2 bath - what i received was a 1 bedroom , 1 bath. the housekeeping was terrible. I run out of towels and could not get any unless i went and got the myself and then i was told that there may not be any because it was not the day to exchange! these were not beach towels but regular towels. After 5 days in unit, i needed clean towels but i was greeted with a bad attitude. Never again would i stay at this place.

This was my first visit to Florida in August 2008. My experience was wonderful! I stayed on the top floor, the penthouse, which was a wedding gift from one of my former coworkers.

The Condo: Spacious bedroom with a king size bed with clean sheets and bed fittings. 2 bathrooms, full kitchen, large living room with a pullout bed for extra guests and a nice patio. The staff was pleasant and professional. The resort activities were fun, including the hot tub. My FAV extra activity was sailing on the yacht during the sunset...SOOOO BEAUTIFUL! Everything went great and I might come back here one day.

Let me start off by clarifying this is not the Hilton Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort & Hotel but the Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort previously known as the Breakers Hotel(as in spring break). This is not really a hotel but is a time share or an exchange place. I recently stayed with my husband on an exchange and for the price we paid for a week-we got our moneys worth. Real hotels charge the rate we paid for a week for just one night. This hotel is 1 straight block to the beach, yes you pass some seedy looking joints - but your going to walk this during the day, even at night there is nothing to worry about. There is a great ice cream parlor on the way and a fantastic pizza place directly across from the beach. The "Resort" is not a hotel so beds will not be made, you need to make your own beds and empty your own trash. Housekeeping is on Tuesdays and Fridays-don't worry, they leave you plenty of towels. We had a suite - so used the pull down Murphy Bed for our overnight guest. As other reviews will tell you, make sure to get a room on the 10th floor or higher for an amazing view of either the ocean or the city. Unfortunately, the restaurant which is not owned by the resort was closed. Food at the pool was acceptable for a quick lunch. The pool is quiet in the morning, in the afternoon all the kids must be back from sightseeing so fill it up. The place is clean, all the employees were nice, friendly, courteous and helpful. They sent us to some delicious restaurants. For price we paid, I would go back here again.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the 10th floor or higher. the higher the better for a better view.

The location is pretty good. It's next to the beach and a great nature park. It is a long walk to the center of the Ft Lauderdale beach parties. The kind you see on TV.
For a rather cramped setup, this resorts tries to give you a lot of amenities. there is a pool, hot tub, laundry, spa, gym, free internet.

We found this resort as an RCI timeshare trade. The resort ran out of parking the day we arrived. Although the room itself was a reasonable size and the bed comfortable, it was in desperate need of repair. We had problems with two doors, the tub drain being clogged and the stove in the teeny tiny kitchen breaking.

We did the timeshare presentation so we didn't have to par for parking. As you can tell, I could never be tempted to buy one of these units. We cut our stay short. After two days, we headed to our next destination.

Room Tip: Check in early so you get a parking space. Not a good choice if you like to cook. The kitchen i...

A great place to stay at the end of a vacation. All members of the staff went out of their way to make the stay as appealing as possible. The food at the at the pool bar was fantastic and more like a five star restaurant. The staff again were superb. The rooms were spacious and clean. The view from the balcony seemed like a dream. A beautiful pool and just had to cross the street to the ocean.

Room Tip: Ask for Beach view
