“Always the same”
Reviewed 3 September 2013

l have been staying at this hotel for many years.
The staff are always nice, the rooms are always neat and clean.
Happy hour is FUN and the breakfast is the best.
Shuttle from the airport if you need one, also a shuttle to the port if you need one, a small fee for this service.
A good all round feel to this hotel.

Room Tip: l love the side of the hotel, you can see the cruise ships from your room

I read the brochure and as in most instances, expected it to be overstated. Hotels are excellent at hiding drawbacks through their advertising.

I think that in this instance it was understated. The lobby/atrium were gorgeous. Water and plants complimented one another. Nice friendly folks to greet us, plenty to look at, and quick service at the desk.

Room was above average in size and appointment. Since the atrium was so pretty, the view of the parking area from the bedroom balcony did not take away anything. Who needs a view from there when the atrium was so nice?

Location for restaurants and shopping was very good. Grounds were well maintained, but were not a selling point. Pool was nice as evidenced by the number using it. Our experience is that pools are avoided if not good quality, and definitely not used if other attractions are better. Such was not the case as everyone seemed to be having a good time.

Happy hour here is definitely that as the bottomless beverage policy attracted a big crowd. My guess is that there may have been a few party crashers, but who knows?

Restaurant was a little pricier than I thought for this level a hotel. That may explain why few used it, I don't know. Food was good and plentiful, service excellent. Free drinks definitely offset the food prices and definitely made the experience pleasant. Looking outside at the restaurants that were available, including Outback, the one in the hotel was a good choice (Especially after a few Seagram's).

I definitely recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Go a little higher, say above floor 10 if noise bothers you.

Hotel was Great. Staff was amazing, especially Jessica who checked us in. Beautiful Garden areas and pool. Room was awesome, large and comfortable beds, great balcony views. Breakfast was good except the lines were long, not served buffet style like other embassy suites I have been to. My only issue was that I only booked 1 night wish I stayed longer it was so relaxing being there. Embassy Suites has regained it's status of my favorite hotel brand!!! Also easy access to airport!

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a full balcony

Check in was quick, took an inexpensive taxi from the airport as its cheaper than the Embassy shuttle. If your flight arrives early or u get there from your cruise before bkfst is over they offer it to you. Hotel and in the room was pretty quiet even though they had lots of cruise passengers and student conventions. We walked to the publix for beer ,wine and snacks. Also walked to Duffy [ would not recommend] and Chipolte [loved].The Sun trolly picks up at Publix or on the street in front of the hotel one block over. Bkfst was good, the usual omlettes and pancakes and waffle sticks, plus all the fruit and bread. Happy hour was CRAZY the night b4 a cruise. Get there early to get a table and be the first in line. Almost did not go the night after the cruise but it was dead. No one must stay after only b4 a cruise. Pool and hottub area are very nice and open up to the happy hour if u want to watch your kids etc. Only minus is my son said the pull out sofa was uncomfortable. We pulled mattress on the floor for him but he put it on and slept there anyway the second night.

Room Tip: You can feed the koi in the pond outside by the pool. They sell bags of cheerios from the giftshop...
