This is a tedious property to stay at. The signage is poor and even though my GPS took me to within 100 feet of it I was confused. The parking for the hotel is on the fifth level and the lobby is on the seventh. To park one needs to get a ticket on the first level from a dispenser and then place it another on the fourth level and then get another ticket. When one leaves it is required to use the room key to get a ticket and then that one is...Oh forget it....too much detail.....I wasn't expecting all of this and probably wouldn't go back...the feedback from others on the elevator was that many others will not go back either.....It reminded me of a cruise...and I don't like those....they even have hawkers in the lobby selling various tours and stuff on the guise of giving you orientation to the property..

Room Tip: Face the beach.....the back side is noisy.....

This beautiful Marriott is a well situated ocean front hotel. My room was not ocean front, but I had a balcony with a wonderful view of the ocean and the pool. It is a easy walk to shopping and dining- by sidewalk or by beach. A trolly is also available. The pool and spa are great. The spa is quite pricy! Of course the rooms and room service are the typical excellent quality we love about Marriott resorts. December was a fun time to be there, especially coming from the north. I got to experience the annual Christmas festival downtown.

This hotel has many great staff from the Front Bellman to the Sales Department. Everyone is hands on and present in the lobby area often which is great to see from a hotel. They truly care about their customers and go above and beyond in all situations. Mr. Marriott was also staying at this hotel which says somethign for the hotel and was present from time to time in the lobby! The beach is nice, many restaurants, bars, art museums, etc. a short walk down the street. There is also a nice boardwalk to walk or run on which along the way has a kids park, basketball courts, volleyball courts, and a fitness area. This hotel is a great place for family to come - great pool area and beach. Lobby has a nice welcome. The only negative I would say about the hotel is it was a bit pricey for the quality (carpets are showing wear) and location. Also, the internet was terrible - kept knocking us out consistently.

Four members of my family and I stayed at this lovely hotel after a recent cruise. The experience was delightful from when we entered the lobby to our departure The rooms are lovely and spacious. There are several restaurants , and the food is delicious. The hotel is located on the beach. The staff here are friendly and helpful - I rate them A+.

From the moment we arrived for a getaway with our daughters, we were welcomed by your wonderful staff.each member of the staff was extremely personable, making us feel very comfortable. From Chris the bellman to Emily who brought us to Cat in reservations to check in, to the housekeeping staff, everyone was so professional and accommodating. So many smiling faces! We also had the pleasure of having Ghada in the Riva restaurant as our server on more than one occasion. Her enthusiasm for her work was lovely to see. Marriott should be proud of all of their staff, a great representation of Mr. Marriott, himself. While we have visited many other Marriott properties, it has been about 10 years since we stayed here. We are already planning for next year, and hope to include our extended family, too!

I stayed here for 4 nights.

Breakfast is very expensive at the Riva restaurant. For a bowl of cereal, yogurt, muffin, oj/coffee which is the lowest on the menu you're looking at $16 without tip.

The hotel gym is great, new machines and lots of them. Better yet, head north out of the hotel and there is a nice wide sidewalk between the road and beach which goes several miles. In the morning and evening there are hardly anyone else on the sidewalk and you get a great view of the ocean. The state park (beach) also has some basketball courts and a fitness course with several stations.

The pool was very nice and had warm water. The spa was good, but the knob to keep the bubbles going was challenging at times.

If you're up for walking, also headed north there are several great restaurants (go to coconuts for great seafood) as well as all the other "spring break" type of food and tourist shops.

Room Tip: Try to get room with a view of the ocean.

Hotel entrance leave a little to be desired, but don't get concerned. Once inside, in the rooms and out to the beach side - it is wonderful. Some mileage on facilities, but great overall. My room was spacious, ocean view, patio, living room. Beach has plenty of sand for all activities. Great food at pool bar. Room service was timely and high quality food with hefty portions. A bit expensive, in line with similar locals.

Room Tip: Get ocean view. It's worth it.
