We stayed 2 nights mid-week, off season. We had our 3 year old and infant with us, and the entire staff was beyond friendly and helpful. We loved the pool area and especially the easy access to the beach. Most hotels "on the beach" in Ft. Lauderdale mean "walk across the street" access to the beach. Our room was large enough for the four of us (including the crib). The spa was empty and quite relaxing. My massage was ok, but my facial with Michelle was lovely.

The reason I gave the hotel only 4 stars was the lack of activities and dining options for children under 5. I would have stayed with my son if there was a playground, toddler pool, etc...it was nice that we were able to use the splash pad and outdoor area of the kids club. I was hoping for more options, not babysitting. Sealevel, the outdoor restaurant, was tasty but the only option for lunch and dinner. The other choice was a bit fancy and expensive :) Also, be aware that the Starbucks at the hotel is expensive by virtue of being inside a hotel. A bottle of Ethos water and tall latte cost me over $9! The manager admitted that their prices are inflated.

Room Tip: The balconies aren't fancy but totally worth the view-even the low floors.

I have stayed at this resort a number of times. Most recently I stayed in February before a cruise with my 3 sisters and there husbands. We had lunch at the restaurant by the pool and it was great. In June I stayed with My niece, Sister and brother inlaw and had a great time. We also visited the spa and it was wonder. The staff is friendly and helpful. The area by the pool and beach is beautiful. I will be staying here again in 2015 before a cruise.

Room Tip: I love the rooms that look out on the ocean.

Very nice location next to the beach, rooms were small, but when you are that close to the beach who wants to stay in the room. Awesome hotel bar, pool bar and restaurant. My only gripe is that there isn't a concierge level. It's one of the perks of being a Gold/Platinum rewards member, and it is not available. It's a resort and Marriott doesn't offer that perk on resorts. No worries, still had an excellent stay.

After one night in Key West with no beaches we knew we had to find a classy resort on the beach. So glad we drove the distance and saved our trip with this fantastic Marriott! If you're staying on this strip of beach, this Marriott is the only hotel where you can walk from pool to beach with no street traffic. It was a perfect set-up. The staff was overly helpful and friendly. Starbucks in lobby = bonus. Amazing gym facility with ocean views, yoga studio and spin classes. We drove 5 minutes for dinners to Las Olas Blvd where all the yummy restraunts are. Can't walk there. Convention this week made lobby too busy - but we weren't hanging out in lobby anyway. HIGHLY recommend this resort.

Our family of three had a great time at this fabulous beach resort. We spent a week here enjoying the beach, swimming in the calm warm ocean and relaxing poolside!

The resort is about 30 yrs old but is very well maintained and clean with a beautiful huge lobby, shops, restaurants and shady palm trees around the pool deck. There's even a kids club.

We had a room with a king bed and a small pull out sofa. It was adequate for the 3 of us. The bed was so comfortable. We used the mini bar fridge for our own drinks, but you could also rent a fridge for $25. The bathroom was a bit dated, but who cares? The ocean view was nice.

We found the staff to be very friendly and helpful, esp.the concierge and front desk. They were both helpful in providing extra amenities and information regarding shopping because our luggage was delayed for 2 days (thanks a lot Westjet). The concierge also got us a coveted reservation at Coconuts on the Friday night. We loved that restaurant and is a must for dinner.

We only ate lunch at the resort at Sea Level. The food was always tasty, although a bit pricey. My hubby loved the wings Shout out to our friendly server Paul!

The weather was hot and humid in August and didn't really cool off at night....very tropical. It was about a 15 min walk to restaurants and beach shops. We took the water taxi one day and toured around, which was great. A stroll along Las Olas was very nice and we had the most delectable gelato.

It's the little things: delicious chocolate chip cookies and lemonade poolside at 2:30 each day, always lots of clean towels by the pool and fresh ice water.

We would definitely go back.

My husband and 2 sons stayed at the hotel last week. Apart from it hosting a convention and the lobby being really busy, there honestly wasn't a single thing I can fault. Hotel is right on the beach - one of the only ones along that strip of road. Rooms are decent size and the pool area is very accommodating. Overall a perfect stay. I would stay at the same place - only for longer next time.

Room Tip: We stayed in a room with 2 double beds and ocean facing. Bathroom was a little small but not off pu...

Beach/Ocean front. Great pool area. Free cookies, iced water and lemonade. My first trip to Ft Lauderdale and this was great pick. Staff were friendly. Starbucks in lobby. Great decor. Doorman place. Worth every penny.
